Blade Franchise

Blood on the Dance floor

Back in the day when I saw that this was coming out I was ecstatic!

In a way it was sort of a 'dirty' fantasy come true my favorite actor Stephen Dorff was in it & it was a Vampire movie. I remember when I saw the trailers, I wondered what it was with Stephen Dorff that looked different. I noticed his eyes looked funny and remembered them being brown. I brushed it off figuring maybe he was wearing contacts. That should have been a hint to me (if not outright tell) as to who or what he would be playing in the movie.

I like the beginning scene in the club I am fully insulted that they had (I forget her name who played) the red headed vamp) in it (when frankly that should have been 'my' part for a variety of reasons!). In this part we learn that Stephen Dorff plays Deacon Frost, one of the vampires. (yes! Ah as I say Fangs make the man.)

The choreography for the fights are quick. It also shows the difference between how vampires move to Humans. There's quite a few other favorites of the movie but mentioning them might or will spoil parts for others.

I didn't care much for the hematologist, but then again when Stephen Dorff is in a movie.. no one else matters! In this though one other won me over, Donal Logue's Quinn became a favorite character as well as actor. "I'm going to be naughty...I'm going to be a naughty vampire God"

I also like the ending fight scene as well, and the entrance to Pearl's.

How much do (or did) I like this movie?

I saw the movie 3 times in the theater, 2 different theater with 3 different people. I wore out the VHS cassette and it was the first dvd I purchased (& I may have worn that out too! Trust me if anyone could wear out a dvd it WOULD be me!)

Blade

Blade
Blade
I think this is the only movie I've seen in the theater 3x!! But then again I do love Stephen Dorff, and Vampires and in it... Stephen Dorff has Fangs... so that's one fantacy come true. I loved the action, and the comedic parts. I think I may have scared my friend who I saw it with the first time. I might have been watching a little to intently. To this day I have to eat a steak or burger while or after watching it. I have the review I wrote after I saw it, I just have to find te little book again I wrote it in.

Blade Bloodbath scene

Below is one of my favorite scenes in the first movie. Also though I don't like House/Techno or 'club' music.. I really did like the 'blood Bath' one.Shoud see if there's an mp3 single of the song 9as I can't find my cassette tape of the soundtrack)

Blade 2

I really don't like the 2nd movie & apparently neither do my dvd players!

NONE in the house even the portables won't play it! So I really don't remember much of anything from this one other than 'Chuppa' is one of the guys from the first Fast & Furious movie, and Reinhardt plays Clay in Sons of Anarchy (& reminds me of a gorilla)

As for why I don't like the movie... I'm not sure if its the story itself, or those 'Reapers' The vampires whose mouths split open.

Also Norman Reedus Alert!

Smile big

Momma should have been a dentist! Isn't there a fish that looks like that? Oh yeah that gnarly fish with the bio-glow fishing lure on its head

Blade Trinity

Parker Posey as a vampire made me laugh. She was so flakey & lame. Good & bad at the same time. I shudder any time I see a wrestler (or former one) is going to be in a movie (mostly when its a cameo or as star) because they always have some part where they use their signature move and basically do what they do in the ring.

If you are going to be in movies while STILL wrestling then don't do your move. Also Triple H with those fake silver fangs in his face, I swear I'd go Deacon Frost and yank them out of his head.

Each of the movies has its own themes and tones and this one would be the comedy (or camp) one. Though I don't care for Triple H being in it, if you couldn't tell already. I enjoyed Ryan Reynolds character but then again he WOULD be the comedy of it.

Dominic Purcell as Dracula I loved the scene where he walks into the hot topic type shop or was it a Dracula/Vampire museum? Jessica Beal's fight scenes were cool I'm trying to think of which one was my favorite, the Subway maybe?

Which is your favorite of the trio

Blade:HOC

Was a series in 2006, I absolutely loved Neil Jackson in it. Also had to laugh as he's played a vampire before in a movie called Thirst, which I thought was from the 1990s, but looked it up and is also from 2006! And You can also add at least one more if not 2 other shows like The originals as well as a movie called True Bloodthirst (is that supposed to be a rip of True Blood?

Sticky Fingaz which may sound familiar as he was in the Rap Group Onyx plays a tattooed Blade who now has Shen (Nelson Lee) as an assistant. Jill Wagner plays Krista Starr (how is THAT not a Superhero's name?)

In the series she returns home, I think it was from the military (but it has been a few years since I last watched it, and I don't pay the humans much attention). Her brother is mixed up with something and gets murdered. She tries to find what happened and runs into Blade.

Have a marathon

Marvel Anime: Blade

I recently accidentally came across an episode in progress. I don't really know anything about it, but have recorded and episode or 2 to watch (while housesitting) as soon as I get to that I'll post my thoughts if any.

In the meantime You can watch an episode on Marvel

I saw 2-4 episodes my first thought was, What is the difference between Anime and Manga?

So I think the episodes I saw were Sins of the father and Vortex of Sorrows One of which had some Frost backstory (which reminds me I heard some rumor about a live action Frost spin-off movie but that was at least a year or 2 ago)

That Frost's son Edgar died by being drained by a vampire.

Was this the story from the original comics, or is this one of those new versions

Another episode was Teachers and student bonds

it was like watching a bad cheesy Kung Fu movie that thought it was serious just without the bad dubbing
