Berenice Marlohe - 007's Newest Bond Girl

French actress Berenice Marlohe is the latest in a long line of lovely ladies to portray a "Bond girl". She is set to star as "Severine" in Skyfall, the 23rd installment of the ever-popular James Bond series of films. Prior to Skyfall, Marlohe had starred mostly in French television and films. This will be her first English-speaking role on her resumé.

While Berenice Marlohe (born in 1979) may not be a household name just yet, that is sure to change once Skyfall hits the theaters late in 2012. Marlohe has worked hard to get where she is today as she spent over four years in acting school before breaking through with roles in commercials and television. Berenice parlayed those parts into roles on the big screen, and has starred in several French motion pictures.

On her upcoming role in Skyfall, Marlohe has stated that she loves the mufti-faceted personalities that her character must display. She also mentioned that she readily accepted the challenge of spreading her acting wings in such a coveted role. "I was completely convinced that I could bring my own flavor to the role", she mentioned.

In addition to French, the 5' 9" Marlohe is fluent in, English, Arabic and Spanish. She stay fit with weightlifting and aerobics.

      Loved the movie! It was so much better than the previous one, Quantum of Solace. Partly because of Berenice for sure.
