Have You Seen A Camel Dance?

Updated on February 7, 2015

Where can I see the Famous Camel Dance?

Have you ever seen a Camel Dance? Well, you are about to see it now! Read on! The famous Camel Dance and the infamous Belly Dancing Camel come together in a page I hope you will enjoy. This is not just about belly dancing, although we have instructional videos, nor is it a lens about camel dance costumes although, again, we have them...

Bring on the camel costumes, camels dancing and much more! Just step inside....

Camel illustrations by Oliver Tadpole, used with permission here! Please do not copy!

Well the best thing is to enjoy what you see, take it in good humor as it was intended and for those of you who have yet to meet the Bellydancing Camel. Well, what can I say? So let the Camel dance begin and bring on the Dancing Camel!

Camels Who Dance - Yes, you heard it right, camels DO dance! So do mummies!

My research to make this lens more than an art exhibition for Oliver or a belly dance extravaganza led to some odd discoveries. When I commissioned the infamous bellydancing camel I had not yet seen these talented and musical animals who love nothing better than to boogie. Camels are underated as dancers - they should be on Strictly Come Dancing!

Laetitias Veil - Camel Dance Cartoon by Oliver Tadpole - Crazy music by me.....

This collection of cartoons made into a simple video were commissioned by me from Oliver Tadpole. Some might find the video is just a little too cheeky in places, but we enjoyed showcasing my music and Oliver's illustrations with this video. I even invented a little dance which classes of schoolchildren love to do, but that's another story...

Baltic Amber and Sterling Silver 925 Camel Pendant Necklace

You know, I was very taken with this necklace while I was looking for camel themed gifts to go along with my camel dancing page. There is something very aloof about the camel which makes the dancing even funnier at times. I was also told on good authority that you should never go on a camel ride in Egypt unless money is no object. It is easy to get on a camel - but much more difficult to get down.

In Praise Of The Camel - Three Camel Songs and a Camel Dance

Some said her name was Alice and others said it was Sally, in any case her humps were excessive! Some could sing - some could growl, others were scary. Some said camels were for riding and others jazzed the camel walk.... Here is some craziness the kids should love!

Camel Books - How the camel got its hump?

Are you interested in finding books about camels, books featuring camels, camel behaviour - you name it. Use the search below to find your perfect camel book.

How To do the Camel Walk - Belly Dancing Instruction for Human Beings....

Would you like to learn the Camel Walk Dance? I would be content to walk gracefully in a line without undulating but these ladies can teach you how to Camel Dance - properly!

Belly Dance Costumes - Costumes and Accessories for Belly Dancing Class

You can learn to bellydance in any comfortable clothing, but you might like to invest in a costume if you are serious - or just for a party perhaps... So, if you want to do the camel dance and look the part you have definitely come to the right watering hole.

Aren't camels wonderful? I hope you enjoyed the videos, the music, the fun and even the glamor! Now it's time for me to jump on the ship of the desert and float away....

Oh how I needed this chuckle with my morning coffee. Oliver Tadpole's art illustrations are wonderful and especially when combined with your marvelous sense of humor. I will be smiling half the day today.

Funny camel! Have you seen The Sand Dance performed by Wilson, Keppel and Betty from the 1930's? It's hilarious. Might fit in well with this theme.

The first time I saw a camel was when I was six and i was so fascinated by it that, for weeks afterward, I filled my art book with drawings of camels! I'm still fascinated by these desert animals to this day and I'd be thrilled to experience a camel ride one day. Great lens! Hey, Ive just finished my second lens on a 3-step plan to achieve your Goals and New Years Resolutions. When you have a moment, I would love to hear what you think. If you have a suggestion- please let me know. Im learning as I go and so appreciate your help. Sundae ;-)

This is a neat idea for a lens. I listened to the record too, Riding on a Camel in the Desert. Thanks for sharing your photos and videos.
