Clara's Deadly Secret

A House In The Country

A sweet little family, played by Emmanuelle Vaugier and Richard Ruccolo, moves into a house that is priced at way below market value. The property has a reputation in town because it is so haunted. The youngest daughter promptly makes friends with the ghost of a little girl named Clara.

Warnings about the haunting come from various sources. The last people to live in the house just left suddenly one day. They had seemed kind of creeped out about some weird happenings around the house.

Why Is It Haunted?

Generally it is just talk that alerts the family, but clippings from newspapers arrive in the mail about a girl who died on the property. There is a suggestion that foul play may have been involved in the child's death.

The mother is a former police detective who had to leave her big city job after a particularly horrific case. Mom takes the clippings to the local cops and makes friends with one of them, who helps in researching the house and the little girl, Clara, who was killed in the yard. Unfortunately, the local cop dies right away in a traffic accident.

Accident Or Murder?

The neighbor is a middle-aged man who lives with his elderly father. Although he presents himself as above suspicion, there is something very creepy about him. Clara tells the little girl that he is a bad man and that he has her bracelet.

Every new bit of information leads the family into more peril. Dad goes to a job on a nearby property, but gets hit on the head before he can leave the place. Immediately then the teenage daughter goes missing after a party.

Mom now knows that her instincts are correct. She starts to seriously get her cop on at this point and begins an investigation into her daughter's disappearance. Soon she sees that a murder has been uncovered.
