Do you adore Shemar Moore as much as I do? I'll admit it...just seeing him as Derek Morgan on CBS' prime time crime drama, Criminal Minds, or even hearing his voice, makes my day! Tell you what, a few of my gal pals feel exactly the same way too!

He can be "don't even think of messin' with me" bad... I wouldn't want to be a criminal lined up in his sights! He can be a marshmallow hearted sweetie and super bad all at the same time. Remember the time Penelope came from the hospital after being shot and the bad cop was trying to kill her? There was Derek being her protector, telling her he loved her and going after the bad guy all within the space of minutes. He's got it all! SO... Dear Derek Morgan... yes, we love you!

• Born on April 20, 1970 in Oakland, California. His mom is Marilyn Moore who is French-Irish and his father is Sherrod Moore, who is African-American.
• Shemar lived in The Netherlands until he was 10 years old and his first language is Dutch.
• Shemar moved to the U.S. when he was 10 years old.
• He started his career in modeling, which is how producers of the soap opera "The Young & The Restless" discovered him. He played a major role on that show for several years. In 2014, he made a return appearance for two episodes of the show.
