Updated on July 19, 2011

Baby Swap

It was rumoured a few months back that heartache was on the way for either Kat Slater or Ronnie Mitchell when one of them will tragically loose their baby around Christmas time just days after they were born.

Kat Slater had Zoe when she was fourteen and was then forced to hand her over to her parents, she later miscarried Dr Truemans baby. Ronnie had baby Danielle when she was also fourteen and she to was forced to give her away, Ronnie then miscarried Owens baby after her father Archie attacked her. But now Eastenders have confirmed that tragedy is going to strike for both woman with a story line that will turn their lives upside down.

Kat and Ronnie both give birth at the same time and are just settling in to family life with their new baby's over the festive season. New years eve has arrived and so all the residents of the square are celebrating in the Queen Vic, Kat and Alfie's baby is upstairs asleep and Ronnie has stayed at home to look after her and Jack's baby. But when Ronnie goes to check on her Newborn she realises the baby is not breathing, she has tragically lost her baby to cot death. A frantic Ronnie rushes over to the pub cradling her lifeless baby, she initially goes to seek help but when she arrives at the Vic she hears Kat's baby crying upstairs. Ronnie is distraught and acts on impulse, she rushes upstairs and swaps her lifeless baby for Kat's and then returns home with it. Meanwhile Kat and Alfie are still celebrating New year with all their friends and family totally oblivious to Ronnie's shocking act.

"Although EastEnders is a fictional drama we have, of course, taken great care to thoroughly research this storyline, which will reflect a issue close to the hearts of some of our audience," he added. "We're fortunate to have two wonderful actresses, Jessie Wallace and Samantha Womack, who understand the need to portray such an emotive subject sensitively."

Joyce Epstein, Director of the cot death charity FSID, said: "We are very grateful to EastEnders for their accurate depiction of the devastating effect that the sudden death of an infant can have on a family. We hope that this story will help raise the public awareness of cot death, which claims 300 babies' lives each year."

Eastenders recently revealed that they had to stop filming for over an hour as several cast members and members of the production team were in tears over the emotional scenes.

Stacey Slaters Christmas Exit

Eastenders executive producer Bryan Kirkwood revealed that Stacey will take centre stage at Christmas and will depart on Christmas day in a dramatic storyline. Rumours are circling the Internet at the moment that Janine finds out Stacey murdered Archie and tells her she either leaves the square with Lily immediately and never contacts Ryan again or she will phone the police on Stacey. I think this is extremely unlikely, firstly because it is hardly dramatic and secondly because this is Janine we are talking about she would just phone the police on Stacey and laugh while she does it.

This is what we do know, Janine finds out at Christmas that her hubby Ryan has been carrying on with Stacey behind her back. Janine plots her revenge and attempts to poison Ryan by putting pills in his food, but Stacey is also in danger. A show insider said

"Janine's main goal is to bring misery to both Stacey and baby Lily and what will follow is Janine's most shocking campaign of terror yet".

It has recently been revealed that on Christmas eve all the residents are gathered in The Queen Vic when in walks Janine armed with Laurens phone which has Stacey's recorded confession, what will this mean for Stacey??

They then went on to say,

"If anyone feared love had changed Janine from the wicked woman she has always been then don't fret because this is going to put her back where she belongs as the biggest soap bitch ever."

Stacey disappears around November the 22nd which shocks the Walford residents, could Janine have found out from Lauren about Archie? This could be when Janine makes her ultimatum 'Leave the Square or i will phone the police' but when Stacey returns Janine will be even more annoyed and that's when her real revenge will take place at Christmas??

Charlie and Jean Slater are both leaving Eastenders could this have something to do with Stacey's dramatic storyline? It has also been reported that Sean Slater will make a brief return on Christmas day to coincide with his sister Stacey's big exit. A show insider said "Sean's comeback is going to be massive, it's really going to shake things up on the square and fans will not be disappointed."

But one thing i cant stop thinking about is Stacey's nut job friend Becca who knows everything. Becca left suddenly after Stacey found out it was her who phoned the police on Bradley and we have not seen or heard from her since, Could she return at Christmas seeking her revenge??
