The Evil Dead Movie and its Sequels

A horror classic, The Evil Dead movie and it's sequels take us through time and space to follow the adventures of discount store (Shop Smart: Shop S-Mart) employee Ash, and his many battles with the evil dead.

Everyone is always waiting for those perfect one liners Ash comes out with.

The Book Of The Dead

The Necronomicon Ex-Mortis ("Book of the Dead") contains spells, and rituals to summon evil spirits from the netherworld, and always seems to be one step away from destroying the world.

Ash is the only man brave enough to stand against the evil powers held within the Necronomicon. He is the lone survivor of the massacre at the cabin that begins the series, and goes on to battle the powers of evil in two more films.

Gory, violent, and bloody this series remains a horror classic. It spawned three official movies and numerous unofficial spin-offs that got less scary and more silly as the series continued.

The Evil Dead

@linhah lm: When it comes to horror movies, I would have to agree with you for sure, unfortunately since I have had children, I find that I can no longer watch a lot of the horror movies I used to love. I have become a wimp lol.

They are awesome- I cannot wait to see the new Evil Dead 2013!

I wonder if it will show the poster of "The Hills Have Eyes" on the basement wall like in the original?

Great movies, they would never have been as popular as they are without Bruce Campbell as Ash, love the lens!

@julieannbrady: My scary movie watching days slowed down a ton once I started having children, there are only certain types that I can watch now, but I haven't strayed completely lol.

You know, I honestly don't watch scary or evil movies now that I am an old fogey ... they scare the wits out of me ... and to be able to Squidoo, I need all the wits I can summon up. But, it sounds marvelous nonetheless.

@anonymous: Thank-you so much for the visit, you can definitely tell that these movies were made in the 80's (well the first 2 anyway), but they are classics for sure.

I must live in a cave or something because I have totally missed The Evil Dead movies but I am having a fun time trying to say "Necronomicon Ex-Mortis". I love that castle image above the guest book. Nicely done!

Great lens, great topic. Army of Darkness is one of the funniest films I've seen - "Hail to the king baby!"

@FanfrelucheHubs: The first movie is often the best and it seems that with the Evil Dead the first movie is the one which grabbed the heart of it's fans.

Love them, my favorite being Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is just amazing in this. Not such a fan of the second film tho.
