Why do movie super stars lose their luster; ie Julie Roberts and Tom Cruise.
Sometimes too much controversy has a negative effect. If they have a series of dud movies or simply haven't had a good role in a good movie, they lose some star power. People realize they are human just like everyone else and move on to the next newest personality.
