    Because Hollywood plans to present Kurt Cobain as a vampire. They don't care about realism so much, they just want to make a movie about what's hot wink

    This is a rumor. It was also rumored that Zac Efron, and Edward Norton were to play Cobain. None of which are actually playing Cobain.

    Courtney love I believe actually started this by saying she didn't want Robert Pattinson to play Kurt. If I am wrong a lot of times I think that studios will name drop on the big projects they have in development, in order to create buzz for it.

    Robert Pattinson confirmed he's not going to play Kurt Cobain.

    I think Ewen McGregor would be a fine choice for the role.
