I'm not familiar with those artists, but when I want to create music on the computer I use a program called Cakewalk.  It allows you to edit notes, choose instruments, create loops, overlap tracks, etc.

thanks, I will check this program out! Is it user friendly, or will I need to read tutorials to get a true understanding of the program?

If you're using a Mac, Garageband is a fantastic application for beginners to begin creating digital compositions.  And you'll normally find it already installed on any new Mac.  Even for people experienced in making any electronic music compositions, garageband has been used by professionals and even to create music for many television commercials.  If this option is open to you, I say give it a shot.  I was able to learn the program fairly quickly even when I was first experimenting with it in high school.

I personally use Ableton Live. But there are many other softwares out there such as FL Studio, Propellerhead Reason, Steinberg Cubase and many others. Try out FL studio, it's quite easy to use.

I am also unfamiliar with the artist. First you must have some good musical ability to really create some great sounding music. Also if you can find some great music software programs that are easy to use. Remember when choosing a software program you need to find one that has an user friendly interface. There is a website I came across that had some good info on it. Here's a link to the Steinberg Cubase page. Steinberge Cubase is a great music program but can be a little overwhelming for a beginner.
