Why do the Cylons hate Humans so much in Battlestar Galactica?
1. They see themselves as humanity's superiors and natural replacement.
2. When Cylons were first made, they were made by humans to kill other humans, and then put to work in every area humans didn't want to work. It is like engineering soldiers, and when the war is over, relegating them to the lowest tasks. For robots with emotions, that's demeaning.
3. Cylons knew humans killed other humans for being rivals and inconvenient. And they knew humans would turn them off / kill them the moment they thought Cylons were inconvenient, because they aren't even the same species.
4. Zoe was religious, something carried to her avatar and then to all Cylons. And humans didn't recognize they had souls, a la that last scene in the Caprica series of robots in a virtual reality "church" listening to the former head of the monotheist terrorists prophesizing. Now they hate humans for not seeing them as equals before God, and seeing themselves as religiously purer.
