there has been a lot of negative news regarding northern QLD and all the recent unfortunate events such as the cyclones or flooding. why does the media portray such a beautiful place in such a negative way? this happens with a lot of "news" story. they try and tell us what to believe but who really knows until you see that place or meet that person.... why is the news so unnecessarily negative?

In discussions here on HubPages, a common topic arises when discussing the media. In most circles, people believes what they read and see on TV. That is why we Conservatives don't trust the media for providing the truth...because we know who we are and the media is mis characterizing conservatives...

The point. Personally I do not watch the news I just listen to other people and look to my friends online for the facts.
