Waffle Iron Etiquette (or addressing the "waffle iron hog" debate)

When a waffle iron is supplied on a busy breakfast buffet, should it be acceptable for an individual to make multiple waffles at a time, or should each individual make only one at a time, and get back in line to make additional waffles?

This reminds me of an identical experience involving a microwave oven in the break room at work many years ago.

Based on that experience, I vote for the one-use per each time in line.

I do, too, based on numerous experiences involving a parent making waffles for each of her 4, 5, or 6 children while the rest of us had to make do with the cereals, cold bagels, and bananas. Do those parents really think their kids are going to eat a Belgian waffle? NO! They will pick at it and it will go in the trash.
