The Playlist

I don't think I ever heard of this song before I became a hockey fan, let alone knew who sang it.

There are some songs on sports playlists that become obnoxious, because they are so overused. They are played out within a month. Then there are the classics, ( that unless your team are the losers ) You don't get sick of.

There's nothing like being in the atmosphere of an enclosed arena when this song comes on in celebration of your team winning a playoff series and the chairs and floor vibrating especially when your team just won the championship.

To me this song is the proverbial saying of:

"When the fat lady sings", because when you hear it you know, depending on what side you are on that you have won or lost the game.
