The Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie is coming! The release date of the second movie in The Hunger Games trilogy is set for November 22, 2013. Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson and other favorites from the first movie will be returning, and they'll be joined by new faces as we follow the adventures of Katniss Everdeen's survival in the post-apocalyptic world of Panem. For those of you who may have seen The Hunger Games movie, but haven't read the books by Suzanne Collins, here's a brief summary of the plot.

Catching Fire picks up shortly after Katniss Everdeen has returned home safely to District 12 with Peeta Mellark. But they're not free of the Capitol yet. The two young victors must now embark on a Victor's Tour of all the districts, and President Snow is working hard to be sure Katniss and Peeta don't cause any more trouble. But trouble is already brewing as the country prepares for the Quarter Quell, "a competition that could change Panem forever."

The following is a list of announced cast members for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The Hunger Games Sequel Has New Director

Replaces Gary Ross

The Hunger Games: Catching Firemovie will have a new director, Francis Lawrence. Gary Ross, who co-wrote the first screen play and acted as director, declined to take on the role. He released a press release in April 2012 saying, "...after difficult but sincere consideration, I have decided not to direct Catching Fire. As a writer and a director, I simply don't have the time I need to write and prep the movie I would have wanted to make because of the fixed and tight production schedule."

Lawrence has directed a variety of other films, including Constantine and Water for Elephants.A press release from Lionsgate Motion Picture Group said the director's experience made him "uniquely suited to handle the blend of character driven drama and high stakes action" of the sequel.

Sam Claflin is Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - British-born actor will play a tribute from District 4

Sam Claflin, who is best known for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Snow White & the Huntsman has been cast to play Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games sequel. Finnick Odair is a former Hunger Games victor who is one of 24 contestants going back into the arena for the Quarter Quell.
