Everyone's favorite rapper is the worst rapper alive

The worst rapper alive is the rapper who has played the most significant role in destroying a once mighty and proud genre. An art form that was built on music poetry and personality. A genre that use to display strength prowess and no fear. The mighty genre of Hip hop has been bled out. The slaughter of talent has been unruly for the last decade. Rap was once poetry set to jazz soul and funk beats. It had its dance music for the club and it had its other style of gangster rap. There were so many branch offs but they were all good. When rap was still good there was a group called the hot boys. One of the members of that team blew up. His name is Juvenile. He was by far the most talented of them and could make songs for the car or the club. The gritty rapper brought entertainment, his song "back that ass up" was a club banger. Lil Wayne made his best appearance in this song. "Drop it like it's hot" Lil Wayne just says drop like its hot at the end of the song making him a hype man and that's all he should ever have been. No Birdman equals Lil Wayne so he should be thankful he was adopted by a rapper. When rappers like Eminem, Nas, Master P, Trick Daddy, and Busta Rhymes were killing the airwaves Lil Wayne was a nothing trying to make a song. When rap was good Lil Wayne never had a shot. Even in the very beggining of the 2000's Lil Wayne was still a joke. 50 cent ruled the airwaves as a rap career ending tough rapper who backed up his rough upbringing and kept everyone's head bumping. Never once was there a trail of weakness, not even in his songs like 21 questions. Around the time Kanye West became extremely popular and thought he could sing brought on the beginning of the end. Rap took a nose dive toward techno, machine singing, and lyrics that meant nothing and reversed what real rappers use to speak about. Lil Wayne lead this revolution of crap rap by putting out a number of songs that were awful. His high voice and awful lyrics with rhymes that don't rhyme gained popularity. Finally lollipop broke records, the song which had a great beat, was created by Static Major. He unfortunately died and Lil Wayne gained ownership of the song. Once again he sang on the track with a machine which soon lead to the downfall of almost all R&B. However, that's an entirely different hub. I will mention I am in no way a fan of rock but his rock was on an extreme emo level. I actually feel like he is good enough to be in a band like Panic of the Disco or Fallout Boy. He whines just like they do. Where are the rap legends like my favorite rapper Busta rhymes or the legendary Mystikal. Holy crap! there on Lil Wayne record label. Well I can't knock the intellect they have on lets make money. I won't even attack a rapper I use to really respect like Pitbull because I understand money is a major issue (M.I.A.M.I.) But Lil Wayne you've made more then enough so stop the garbage music man. All in all where are the beefers, the battlers. Where are raps real legends? Someone diss this guy, but it has to be someone with some sort of audience. If I was known by more then a couple hundred people I'd do it. We need a diss from someone like Jadakiss or Styles P or Trick Daddy. Or how about we take pride in rap and not listen to what some skinny jean wearing, skater, rocker has to say. Go kiss your daddy on a rock track and stay out of the hip hop genre. Lets move forward with rap and bring it back to the days of flow, rhyming, and good music.

Lil Wayne

Let me say this

How is Lil Wayne the best rapper alive. In what universe is slurring words and sounding constantly drunk or asleep the way to rap. I mean what makes this guy our generations best rapper. He honestly made better music when he was child then he does now. At least back in the day he didn't sound half brain dead. His rhymes make no sense and his word play 9 out of 10 times is legitimately stupid, or something only someone who thinks he's a top rapper can understand. Im just trying to basically say that out of all the rappers, older, younger, his age, etc. how is that we find ourselves claiming this to be the best rapper. Is really better then tupac in all of these people eyes. Lets use someone of less martyr level importance. Is he really better then Busta Rhymes, Mystikal, Bun B, Master P, Method Man, Kool G Rap, KRS One, Kendrick Lamar, Snow Tha Product. I mean lets be honest I'm giving you rappers from all over the place. Different time periods and different styles. All of these rappers run circles around Lil Wayne yet we promote him as our best rapper. I don't understand the reasoning behind all of this. I wish I could see what other people seem to see because I miss here music in the club and the car that I like. I wish I could turn on the radio and smile instead of the CD or I-pod. Listening to XM radio should be a choice not a must. Sadly if you like rap as I do I'm kind of put in a bad situation. I don't have a choice to listen to anyone with substance and with the way the rap game is going it appears to be a poor future for me. We need things to switch around if we hope to achieve anything in the future. If you disagree with me and can prove these videos don't highlight the awfulness that is Lil Wayne tell me your opinion. Comment with something that dissuades these videos and my writings. I want someone to explain the madness that allows a rapper like this to say he's the greatest alive. I'm open to hear reason and explanations. I'm open to just about any argument and will try to be unbiased. I challenge you to disprove my statements. I challenge you to give me reasons as to why he is better then the legends and even the mediocre.

I agree. I would have also picked Nikki, Jay Z and Kanye from your list. I can't believe someone picked Flo Rida...he spins my head right round! :)

No. Lil Wayne can rap bro. he's just not trying anymore. Why is he famous if his whack? It's coz' he really got good lines and flow. He's just too lazy to show it.

I appreciate your opinion but honestly go back to when he was a part of the Hot Boyz Juvenile outshined him on every track. Juvenile turned Lil Wayne into a flavor flav in back that azz up. There are plenty of talentless losers who are famous. Rick Ross French Montana, terrible rappers. Listen the guy makes up stupid lines like stand under and understand me and tries to push it off as word play. The last time Lil Wayne didn't sound like a high pitched girl was when he came out with block is hot and his voice was high pitched but lower then it is now. It's as if his balls didn't drop but lifted up into his body lol.

I still don't know why people under rate Lil' Wayne. If he was whack like you said, he should have shipped off the industry

Honestly, the guy knows how to pull crowds, people don't care about rhyming and flow like in the 90's and early 2000's, it's more about hooks now and honestly the man is a king at making catchy/annoying songs. Even if you don't like his music like myself I know his songs. Ke$ha is considered a rapper and she is a joke but she still sells better then legendary MC's like Nas or Busta Rhymes or Jadakiss. The industry just looks for fun now not real rap. Look you are welcome to like him but if you aren't versed in 80's and 90's rap its hard for you to understand where I'm coming from

Well let me ask you this what makes Lil Wayne good? Give me some examples of powerful rhyme scheme and perhaps some witty word play, and not g's move silent like lasgna one liner wit like real word play wit. Maybe you can turn my opinion around. I'd rather be slightly bored with awesome repetition then appalled by horrible music.

The way you dissed the man was disrespectful to an extent. Even if you think he is whack, you should pay respect.

Man, I got Summer hating on me cause I’m hotter then the Sun

Got Spring hating on me cause I ain’t never sprung

Winter hating on me cause I’m colder than ya'll

And I would never, I would never, I would never Fall

I’m being hated by the seasons

So fuck ya’ll who hating for no reason

Again, word play from the about the season is ok but there really needs to be more rhyme scheme if you really want to be considered a rapper. The only part that seems clever here is spring to sprung, the rest is just to expected. Hating for no reason is understandably a stupid thing to do but if he stopped and realized he's being hated on for his dumbing down of rap and removal of rhymes. Listen to Kool G Rap and Nas's fast life to get an idea of rhyming like many rhymes per sentence not one every two bars.

The time has come, we gotta expand, the whole operation

Distribution, New York, to Chicago, L.A

We gotta set our own market, and enforce it

      [Verse 1: Kool G Rap]

Champagne wishes and caviar dreams a team that's gettin' cream

With sales of fish scales from triple beams I gleam

Livin' the life of Riley packin' fifty calis

Rockin lizard Bally's while we do our drug deal in a dark alley

Up in casinos just me and my dino primo

Pushin beam-o's then parlay in Reno with two fly latinos

Nas, he runs the whole staff, we count math from steam baths

We've seen a half a milli dashin out there on the Queens half

Three major players gettin papers by the layers

And those that betray us on the block get rocked like Amadeus

Fakers get used to shootin targets, soon as the dark hits

Front on the drug market, bodies get rolled up in a carpet

Those that cheat us try to beat us we got hookers with heaters

That'll straight pop and put more shells in your top than Adidas

Da leaders, lookin straight charming in our Giorgio Armani's

You wanna harm me and Nas you gots ta conquer through a whole army

The cee-lo rollers, money folders, sippin' Bolla, holdin mad payola

Slangin that Coke without the Cola

Me and black don't fake jacks but we might sling one

It ain't no shame in our game we do our thing son

Don't lecture me on rap, bro. I got my taste of lyricists. I was just defending Lil' Wayne since your article was a whole arsenal of disrespect. Plus, are you hurt the last two lines of Wayne's line I posted got its aim fixed right to you? We can admire Biggie, Tupac, Tech N9ne, Rakeem, Talib. Wayne's not an exception.

Those last two lines would apply if he wasn't partially responsible for hurting the industry. Rappers who are jokable with bad hooks pull in the non rap fan base, this being said it pushes sales and reworks the billboard and causes rappers to change to make more sales. Yes lollipop though one of the dumbest songs is so ridiculously catchy, the problem is now every song has a v-coder. Why are you jocking him so hard, what respect does he deserve record sales props. In that case big ups to Kesha, Soulja Boy tell em, Roscoe Dash and other garbage MC's who make millions on one hit. This isn't a lecture this is an answer to what you have stated.

So the hookable ones are Minaj, Kesha, Snoop and those who got a lot of hypes. I'm not giving him tons of respect, I just wanted to say that this article totally misunderstood him. You oughta diss him like this when you can go mainstream already.

lol I think I will diss him relatively soon, you can forward the article to him before I go mainstream, rap needs some new beefs to wipe out the trash that's out there.

Hahahaha the current flow sounds like absolute garbage so ill take that as a compliment. It would be easy to mimic garbage than greatness. Keep thinking he's good man. Legend has it that every time a person defends lil Wayne's rapping a young talented rapper loses his big break.

Learn metaphor and it's not a compliment. I didn't say Wayne's good. I didn't say he was worse either. I'm not wasting my rapping too

You really ride his jock man, I think the article offended you more then it should have. Metaphor, fortunately real rappers make real metaphors and don't make up stupid stuff. Look Lil Wayne is a joke and if he said the things in the 90's he says now he'd have had his whole career destroyed. You sounds much to young to understand real rap man stick with the hip pop of today if your going to ride him so hard. Honestly, if you respect him for anything more then his ability to make money out of garbage you don't know rap or you don't remember how rappers that were jokes had there careers finished instantly.

Beautiful comments that make some sense. How anyone could think Lil Wayne is anything other then straight garbage kills me. How anyone could respect someone who goes on stage and screams I am Tupac deserves to be booed for even having the name Tupac come out of his mouth. Real rap lover have to stand against this disease.

Umm okay you are obviously stupid. Lil Wayne is a type of pop rap, punchline rap music. Of you want people with beef then listen to that unground, dead mess. They were killing each other over what? Music.

Okay Lil waybe, wiz, juicy j and 2 chainz made it popular which means more people like it over the rest. Just entertainment. They decided "why dead and kill each other, let's make money." So now they are alive and get to use their money and live to see their kids grow up not like they did. Tupoc didn't get that, he lost cause of beef in rap. So stfu about bad rappers. If you don't like them gtf.

So I'm stupid because I feel a man is the epitome of bad rap? I see sir I think you are a moron because anyone who knows juicy j knows he began his career as a rapper who could truly rhyme. I'm not asking for beef though it made rap entertaining. In sorry wiz Khalifa only raps about weed that not my target rapper he has no flow but that's beside the point. Titi boy or 2 chains is garbage when it comes to flow and lyrical value but way above Wayne. Look your obviously a lover of the pop rap and I'm not hating on you for that but the first thing you say is I'm stupid leads me to believe you have the intellect of a first grader with zero knowledge about rap. Your best examples you know nothing of. Your a fool if you think old rap was just about beefing.
