Or are you looking for a list of chick flick tearjerker movies to that you sometimes just need to watch a great film that you know, is going to make you cry.

After a bad day, or a fallout with your loved one, sometimes all we need is just a good old fashioned, eye balling, nose sniffling sob.

Collected here, is the ultimate collection all time tearjerker films. So stock up on the Chocolates and tissues!

We all love a cleansing of the soul once in a while, and nothing better than watching a film, so settle down popcorn ready...oh and the tissues very handy.

I tried to rate these film individually for tear factor, but I could not separate them, So I will give each of these films a 5 star hankie rating

Sad movies 1 - ....Dear John

Think today's version Officer and a Gentleman, a young soldier meets and falls in love with a student who is on spring break, they exchange letters, John believes he will not re-enlist however after the 9/11 attacks, he and his company de-ploy, during a misssion he is indeed sent a "Dear John" letter, from Savanagh saying she is engaged to someone else, but not who John thinks, when he finds out who she married this story takes on a whole new meaning, To what lengths someone will sacrifce themselves for love. Watch over and over and over again...

Sad Movies 2 - Million Dollar Baby

for all those tough girls out there, sheer determination and will power, I loved this film, and because it is about a female boxer, trying to be taken seriously my husband loves it too. WARNING - You may think you are tough watching this but YOU WILL CRY AT THIS MOVIE

Sad movie 3 - Hachi

This is a story that will melt your heart, follow Hachi and his story of how he picks his owner, with a twist that I don't want to tell you about be prepared is all I can say, it is not what I expected.

Sad movies 4 - My Sisters Keeper

I read the book first, and the movie did not disappoint, follow a very ill young girls journey, what lengths would you go to, to keep your daughter alive?

My Sisters Keeper Trailer

Sad movies 5 - Ladder 49

When you follow this American Firemans story after he becomes trapped in a collapsing building, you fall in love with his cheeky character, another ending you do not expect and throughout this you need tissues at the ready.

Ladder 49 trailer

Sad Movies 6 - The Blind side

When a rich All American Mom takes in a troubled kid from the wrong side of town, what are her reasons?

Sandra Bullock plays this part amazingly, this boy who society had given up on, she gives shelter, too. I cried right from the start and continued throughout. With one of the unlikely stars of the show being the wee boy, who takes it upon himself to mentor and coach Michael for his football team, even this motive is questioned by the authorities who believe the family are only helping Michael because of his talent, and which school he will choose to play in.

Brilliant feel good- tear jerker of a film.

Sad movies 7 - Pay it forwad

I believe every class in the world should have this project set to them, a fantastic Kevin Spacey sets his pupils a task in the classroom, to make a plan to change the world, little did he know what was about to happen, Little trevor hatches a plan to help 3 people who in turn will then help 3 people each (Think multi level marketing...) and so continue and spread. I never in a million years expected the ending, it is probably one of the most beautiful films I have seen

The morale of the story is when someone does you a favour, don't Pay it Back - Pay it forward.

Sad Movies 8 - Marley and Me

This is one of those films, that has a great feel about it, it is funny, and if you have ever owned a puppy that wants to do as it pleases, you will totally get this film. If not your probably will never own one after following this families hilarious journey, with Marley. Be prepared and have plenty tissues ready.

Sad Movies 8 - Titanic

Well need I say anymore...Jack...Jack.... I recently went to Belfast and was lucky enough to visit the actual place the titanic was built. It was amazing and well worth a visit If you ever visit Ireland

Sad movies 9 - The Champ

This is a Story of an ex boxer who is down on his luck gambeller, he takes care of his son the cutest wee boy EVER T.J, or he tries to, in between the gambling and drinking sessions, they live on a racecourse and when he starts to make a come-back on the boxing scene so as to give T.j a better future, T.J's mum Annie walks back into their lives, that are worlds apart. This si an old movie 1979, the fashion is hilarious, but I can honestly say, hold onto your hankies, because you are going to cry buckets.

Sad movies 10 - The notebook

Due to Public demand I watched this film, well I was not disappointed, tear factor was off the scale. A romantic and heartfelt story of a couple through their lives, I really don't want to tell you anything about this film, apart from, I had worked out the story in the first 5 minutes however- I had to watch how the story unfolded, and yes the big bear of a husband was crying too

Don't forget the hankies - Novelty hankerchief box

I love it when extra thought goes into a present, if you are buying tearjerker movies, or chickflicks be sure to add in a novelty handkerchief box, with tissues, they will love that extra thought.

Sad movie Scenes

***spoiler alert - Don't watch The Champ trailer, its too sad!

Are you sure it's a lens about tearjerker movies or a fun one? I just saw a box with kleenex above, this made me ROFL.

Seriously, hm, I'm ashamed to say that I haven't heard neither seen any of the movies but it must be because I'm more old fashioned movies oriented (no, not all are black and white, lol).

Other than that, I hope that you'll get a bunch of other predictions and feedback about those movies ;)

You have some real tear jerkers here. Two that come to mind that left me sobbing were: Nights in Rodanthe, and Message In A Bottle.

I haven't seen any tear jerker girl flick movies in years. I'm into murder mysteries these days. However, from the long ago past my all time favorite is Steel Magnolias.
