My Favorite TV Shows Growing Up
My 10 o'clock Obsession
When I was growing up, I was "into" police and adventure shows. I also, as an impressionable teenager, had crushes on many of the characters on these shows.
I remembered how much I loved many of these programs when the cable stations began showing reruns of some of the programs and when CBS started the new Hawaii 5-0 show. While this program bears only a passing similarity to the original Hawaii 5-0 (with Jack Lord, James MacArthur, Kam Fong and Zulu), and the theme song is missing the final drum beat, I enjoy the new Hawaii 5-0 anyway.
I Love TV!
When I was growing up, I was addicted to TV. I loved the adventure shows. Hawaii 5-0, Mannix, The Bold Ones (with Burl Ives, Joseph Campanella and James Farantino), you name it. But my favorite show back then was The Wild Wild West. Robert Conrad and Ross Martin made a good pair. I loved their chemistry.
Years later, I found I liked the chemistry between William Conrad (no relation to Robert Conrad) and Joe Penny in Jake and the Fatman and even later, between Bruce Campbell and Julius Carry (and Christian Clemenson) on The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr..

DVD of some of my Favorites
For a time, The Wild Wild West was my favorite program. I also loved these other shows (The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr. always struck me as being a latter day TWWW -- in a good way). If you're a woman, check out Joe Penny in jeans in Jake and the Fatman.)
Was is adventure programs, sitcoms, cartoons, something else?
