My Top 5 Dr Doofenshmirtz Inventions from Season 3 of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb Cartoons

Updated on September 21, 2013

Dr Doofenshmirtz and his Inventions

In Disneyâs Phineas and Ferb cartoon, Doofenshmirtz is the enemy of their pet platypus, Agent P. The cartoon has two storylines. First is Phineas, Ferb, Candace and their adventures. Second is Agent P, Doofenshmirtz and their adventures. Usually, only Agent P and the other members of the O.W.C.A. (The Organization Without a Cool Acronym a.k.a. "The Agency") interact with Doofenshmirtz. Doofenshmirtz is an evil scientist and in most episodes he invents various machines to take over the Tri-State Area but Agent P always successfully defeat him. In Season 3, except for the movie, I identified the five most useful inventions and wanted to share them with you. You can read more about Season 3 on Wikipedia .

Phineas and Ferb - Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc

This is the jingle used by Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc

You hear the jingle when the scene changes to Dr Doofenshmirtz storyline.

Phineas & Ferb - Agent P Peel & Stick Giant Wall Decal from

Perry is Phineas and Ferb's pet platypus but when he goes on a mission he is called Agent P. Agent P belongs to the O.W.C.A., a secret organisation whose mission is to stop evil scientists from causing harm in the Tri-State Area. The secret agencies are all animals except for their superior, Major Monogram and the unpaid Intern Carl who are both humans. Agent P's mission is to defeat Doofenshmirtz. Doofenshmirtz is rather eccentric, silly and really loves sharing his childhood stories with Agent P. In most episodes Doofenshmirtz creates an invention. The inventions are usually to assist him to take over the Tri-State while others were used to annoy people, get revenge on his brother or perform various other tasks. My favourite inventions are the ones they help to assist others or performed a task more easily and quickly because it means they are very useful.

Doofenshmirtz Inventions

Have a quick look at Dr D and his inventions.

Here are some examples of inventions that he creates during various episodes.

Phineas and Ferb - Candace from

Agent P goes to his secret lair under Phineas and Ferb's house to hear about his mission from Major Monogram. As usual, he is instructed to stop Doofenshmirtz from carrying out his evil plot. Doofenshmirtz is at his apartment which is also his HQ (Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated). His ex-wife, Charlene, asks him to pick up their daughter, Vanessa, from school. He wants to participate in an exercise class so he decides to build an invention to perform the task. He builds a Pick'em up-inator using old machine parts stored in his basement. He found his Norm Head Prototype in the basement and explains to it that he can enter the pick-up and drop-off coordinates of the locations for his creation by using a remote. He uses the Pick 'Em Up-inator to pick up his daughter from school and drop her at her home. During these events, in the Phineas and Ferb storyline, Candace gets transported to Easter Island because of her brothers' invention. Agent P uses the Pick'em up-inator to bring her back home. At the end of the episode, the Norm Head Prototype uses the Inator to go to Easter Island because he is a head and wants to be around other heads.

  • The Pick-'Em-Up inator is a very useful invention as it can be used to transport a person or thing to any location. The coordinates are entered for the source and destination location and travelling is easier and faster because the Inator flies with its passenger.

Phineas And Ferb Holiday Favorites

Agent P is usually briefed by Major Monogram on the mission but because Carl was sent on another mission, Agent P has to go without any information. At Doofenshmirtz' HQ, we see him building a device which he uses to wrap around Agent P when he steps in. The device traps Agent P in nicely decorated Christmas wrapping paper. Doofenshmirtz' explains that he is behind on his Christmas shopping so he invented a Transport-inator. He plans to use the Transport-inator to zap himself inside the stores at the shopping mall so that he does not need to search for a parking spot like everyone else. While he is shopping for gifts, Agent P hits the reverse and the device does the opposite which is to bring Doofenshmirtz back home. Agent P then uses the Inator to go home to Phineas and Ferb's house. Later after all the Christmas songs are sung and gifts opened then the same Inator accidentally zaps the Christmas decorations and singers except for the main characters (Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Baljeet, Buford, Candace, and Lawrence) from Phineas and Ferb's backyard to Doofenshmirtz' liar. All these activities cause the Inator to blow up and destroy the liar. Everyone escapes except for Doofenshmirtz who is caught in the blast.

  • The Transport-inator is the very useful because it can zap anyone and anything to another location instantly. The main purpose was to get into the stores before everyone else to save time and hassle of a typical Christmas shopping. Dr D got to use it but he was zapped before he picked up his presents and later the Inator gets destroyed.

House Key

In this episode, Ahent P needs to find out why keys across the Tri-State area are disappearing. As usual they suspect Doofenshmirtz so Agent P is sent to defeat him. Agent P travels to Doofenshmirtz' liar and when he arrives he gets trapped. Doofenshmirtz explains that he invented a Key-Find-inator. He is using it to zap and retrieve keys throughout the city. He plans to use it to find the Key to the City because as the official key, he feels it will allow him free access to anywhere in the Tri-State Area. Doofenshmirtz' brother, Roger, is at the Key to the City ceremony and hands over the key to the chosen recipient. However, the Key-Find-inator is used to steal the key. Agent P however battles Dr D and wins and then reverses the Inator and causes all the keys to return to their original location except the Key to the City. Dr D, the Key to the City and the Inator gets zapped by lightning so once again the Inator is destroyed.

  • Everyone has lost their keys at some point in time so a Key-Find-inator is a great idea to retrieve lost keys. However, Doofenshmirtz always uses his invention in an eccentric way and ends up being defeated By Agent P.

Monster from ID / Gi-Ants

In the Agent P and Doofenshmirtz storyline, Doofenshmirtz is usually planning something evil so Agent P always goes to his secret hideout to get instructions from Major Monogram and Carl. Agent P is informed that Dr D is buying various thanksgiving items. Agent P goes to Dr D's liar and is trapped by a pilgrim hat. Dr D explains that after eating Turkey for thanksgiving that persons get sleepy because of the tryptophan in the Turkey. He built a Turkey-inator which can turn anything into a Turkey so that when persons eat it they would get sleepy and then he would easily take over the Tri-State Area. Dr D flies off on a device with his invention on it and starts zapping various objects. People see the Turkeys and start eating. Agent P fights Dr D and turns the control so that the Turkey-inator is transformed into a Turkey and crashes with Dr D in it. Thus, Dr D's evil plan is thwarted.

  • The Turkey-inator is useful because he could change anything into Turkey and have lots to eat during Thanksgiving and he could even share with his neighbours. It is such a pity that it only turns things into Turkeys because other meals would have been wonderful. However, his decision to use it for evil always ends up getting him defeated and his invention destroyed.

Phineas and Ferb Video Games

Watching the episodes are really fun so why not add to the fun by buying these cool video games. Now you can get to defeat Doofenshmirtz too!

Disney Phineas and Ferb 10 Inch Plush Figure Dr. Doofenshmirtz

In the Phineas and Ferb storyline, Buford and Baljeet break up as Bully and Nerd friends. Buford and Baljeet are Phineas and Ferb's friends. Doofenshmirtz overhears and see how intimidating Buford is so he asks Buford to join him. Buford is so tough and intimidating that Doofenshmirtz does not have to wait in line at the Dry Cleaners. Doofenshmirtz uses him to get his way at a restaurant and other places. Agent P cannot interfere because he does not want Buford to recognize him. Dr D returns to his evil liar and shows Buford is Sculpt-Inator which he plans to use to sculpt a muscular statue of himself on Danville's mountain. Buford misses Baljeet and decides to leave Doofenshmirtz and return to his friends. Agent P is now able to come out of hiding. Agent P attacks Doofenshmirtz but the Inator was already activated so the mountain is sculpted from a ill-shaped version of Doofenshmirtz' face. Agent P fights him and wins and returns the mountain to normal. Afterward, the Inator blows up.

  • The Sculpt-Inator was invented to sculpt a figure onto the Danville mountain. It would be useful in creating masterpieces on numerous mountains if Doofenshmirtz decided to embrace his artist side. However, Doofenshmirtz had bad intentions so the Sculpt-Inator ends up being destroyed.

Final Words

Thank you for reading about “My Top 5 Dr Doofenshmirtz Inventions from Season 3 of Disney’s Phineas and Ferb Cartoons” and why I choose them. Doofenshmirtz is an evil genius and his inventions are really creative but because he uses them for evil they are destroyed by the end of each episode. To recap, my top 5 inventions are the Pick 'Em Up-inator, Transport-inator, Key-Find-inator, Turkey-inator and Sculpt-Inator. You can watch the Phineas and Ferb cartoons on Disney Channel or clips on YouTube.
