Prosecutor Princess (Korean Drama)
Meet the most fashionable prosecutor in town!
Prosecutor Princess is a South Korean drama that ran on the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) from March 31 to May 20, 2010. It's about a sassy woman, Ma Hye Ri, who is more concerned about shopping and what she's wearing than in her work as a prosecutor. Don't be fooled though, she has a sharp mind and an IQ of 168 that belies her frivolous appearance..
You might think that this is just another Legally Blonde rip-off but I assure you that it's not. It's part comedy, part mystery, and part love square drama -- what's not to like? I initially didn't know what to expect from this Kdrama but was pleasantly surprised to see how well-written and excellently paced it is.

Prosecutor Princess: Cast of Characters - Who's who in this 2010 Korean Drama
Ma Hye-ri (played by Kim So-yeon)
Junior Prosecutor, Midland Prosecutor's Office. Daughter of CEO Ma of Dongbang Architecture
Beautiful and possessing an IQ of 168 and excellent concentration skills, Ma Hye Ri passed the Bar Exam in one go. She also graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute with top marks. Hye Ri is the only daughter of an affluent family in Seoul. She loves to shop for luxury items and is more concerned about fashion & beauty over her current work as a prosecutor. At one point, she thought her calling was in fashion but her father made her switch back to law and threatened to kick her out of the house if she didn't.
Seo In-woo (played by Park Si-Hoo)
Principal Attorney, Haneul Law Offices
In-woo graduated from an American university and then came to Korea to take the bar exam and became a lawyer. He runs the law firm "Haneul" which houses outsiders who can't deal with the realities of the legal profession in Korea. There are many rumors about his origins, but no one really knows anything about his past.
In-woo looks confident from the outside but he also has a chilling dark side. He's tenacious, meticulous, and good at reading people's minds. He stops at nothing to win his clients' lawsuits, and is not above blackmailing people who deserve it. On the other hand, he is warm toward underdogs. He acts as legal aid or pro bono attorney on behalf of the powerless.
Yoon Se-joon (played by Han Jung Soo)
Chief Prosecutor at Ma Hye-ri's office
Tall and handsome, this man is called "The Gregory Peck of the Prosecutor World." He is capable, cold, cynical, and harsh.
He lost his wife to cancer 3 years ago and has a 7-year-old daughter. He is more traumatized by his wife's death than one would think. While he worked like a crazy man at the prosecutorial profession, his wife supported him quietly. She allowed her disease to progress too much and he couldn't even be at her deathbed.
The profession of prosecutor is so intense that he had to give up his personal life but in his heart he carries a deep remorse that he can't let anyone else see.
Prosecutor Jin and her mother take care of his daughter but what he hasn't noticed is that Jin Jeong-seon has feelings for him.
As for Hye-ri, he is severely cold to her because she llooks a lot like his deceased wife but doesn't act like her at all.
Jin Jeong-seon (played by Choi Song Hyun)
Hye-ri's senior colleague
Jeong-seon is a hot-blooded prosecutor who runs around as though she can save the world all by herself. Unbeknownst to her, this has earned her the nickname "Eagle Noona" and "Double Blade" because her speech cuts like a knife.
She became a prosecutor because her father, having lost all of his money to a con, died of a nervous disorder brought on by rage. Due to her work, she has never given a thought about marriage.
Jeong-seon is the complete opposite of Ma Hye-ri whose flamboyant ways and lifestyle she cannot tolerate at all. She hates Hye Ri all the more when she makes a move on her beloved Yoon Se-joon who she secretly loves.
