Simon's Cat
Who is Simon's Cat?
This feline prodigy has taken the world by storm!
He's known from Anatolia to Zaire as a force majeure on YouTube, and I've been following his phenomenal rise from the very start.
(I might pick up a few tips to give my own career a boost).
Simon himself is an English animator with a great interest in British wildlife, painting, the great outdoors and, of course, cats.
We always see Simon's Cat when he's hungry. The poor dear is forced to resort to increasingly desperate measures to get his food delivered.
Simon Tolfield
Who is Simon Tofield?
Simon Tofield has been working as an animator with TANDEM, an animation company in UK, for eleven years. He's worked on lots of films and advertising campaigns but.his short videos have made him known internationally.
He received the prize for Best Comedy at the 2008 British Animation Awards for Cat-Man-Do. His second cat film, Let Me In has had 8.5 million hits on YouTube and, all in all, the cat videos have had over 23 million hits.
I made a lot of those hits myself.
Study these videos well and, before you can say 'Jack Sprat', you'll have your person trained to respond to your desires instantly.
Cat-Man-Do - Simon's Cat needs breakfast
I often find it difficult to wake up the woman-who-feeds-me. and I've noticed this is more common on chilly mornings. The best option In this case is to drag the duvet to expose the feet.
At other times I suspect that she feigns sleep to avoid her duties.
The remedy for this is repeated and determined use of the paw-on-face technique.
Let Me In - Perhaps a little extreme
I was trained from an early age by an irritable old tortoiseshell. One of the niceties she drummed into me was the correct manner in which to enter the house.
Make as much racket as possible, she instructed, and, when the door is finally opened, sit on the step staring upward for a good three minutes.
Maintain eye contact throughout the process.
T.V. Dinner - Don't let your person get the better of you
Too much television viewing leads a person to laziness. It's up to all cats to assist their people to give up this mindless (not to mention selfish) pastime.
Never allow your person to postpone your snacks, or any other wish you may have, until a TV show has finished. It's the first step on the slippery slope to sloth.
Fly Guy - Every cat has a job to do
Sometimes you really have to ensure that your person perceives your prowess.
Even if it's a small trophy that you proffer to them, make sure that they appreciate your mighty savagery and unsurpassable skill.
Make sure you're rewarded!
