Six Inspirational Movies to Watch on Your Big Screen TV

Updated on April 3, 2022

These are great for you and your family.

True to what I have stated. All these movies I have watched more than once by my wife and I. And better yet by my three kids. (Granted they may not have been the kids first choice of movies but they still walked away with something.)

Each movie that I have listed on this page has its own way of reaching out to inspire the audience. I also know that every person will not get the same things from each movie that I did. But at least it is a good first step in watching these movies. To know what someone else has gotten from each movie can help you to think. Then wonder if I will get the same thing or will there be something else that this movie has in store for me?

I don't know. This is one of those things like reading a book that a friend told you about. They can tell you everything they know about it. But until you get a chance to read it you will not find something that is just for you. Something that only you will grasp. That little nugget of gold that only you can find.

So please take a look at all six of these movies. Then decide which one you want to watch. Which one will mean the most to you. Which one will give you that little nugget of gold that no one else will see but you.

A little inspiration to start things off with. The TV I am using for this image I won at work.

Its a Wonderful Life

First this movies based on the same town where I met my wife. If that is not inspiring I don't know what is. OK so that's also why it is at the top of the list. Just knowing what one person has gone through is interesting. Knowing how one person can change so many others is what is amazing. To be honest most folks think like George Bailey did. I am just one person. I have done nothing to change those around me. But just like George you need to take a look at the big picture. (And to be honest some of this came to light at a recent church service.) Take yourself out and see how things would be different. Even if it is just one thing that would change what would that change mean? How would it affect those around you? Where am I going with this one you are wondering? Simple in the big scheme of things you may think that you don't make a difference. But when you take a step back and look around you will see there are many many things that would change if you were not here. And like Mr. Bailey remember that you are here for a reason. Even if that reason doesn't always make sense.

Inspiration

First I have to be honest. We have this on VHS and no player to view it on. But that doesn't stop me from thinking about it and telling others about it. I have seen it many times and am surprised that the tape has not worn out. Knowing that the main characters worked together to maker their dream come true. To launch a rocket even a model rocket to help them reach their goals. Also knowing that one of their teachers help to inspire them to keep on going. Even though she was sick she did not give up on their dream. I know I had a music teacher like that in high school. He always was there and always seamed to have time to talk to me. Sorry no names but he was also the only teacher that got invited to our wedding. So if you want to know if a teacher can inspire you like the one in this movie the answer is yes they can. (And yes I do think of him when I watch this movie.)

Acapella Company - Inspiration

This is a song that I got on a free CD and have had now for many years. Just thought you would enjoy hearing it as you are looking at the movies that I found inspirational.

Facing the Giants

Of all the movies on this page this is the first one that I have also purchased as a gift for a friend.

Facing the Giants
Facing the Giants
Trying to think what inspired me the most on this was hard. I kept thinking about the main characters. And then like the proverbial brick wall it hit me. It wasn't one of the main characters at all. It was one that you only saw once or twice in a speaking role. The character was the one that walked around the school praying for the school and everyone in it. The one in the back ground that is not always noticed and yet without him the main characters would be stumbling. What I am saying here is that its not always obvious in the story line what can inspire you. Sometimes it what is going on in the background that will move you.

Facing the Giants - How one member of a team can inspire the rest.

As a general rule - Which one would you rather be?

I know that this can change at the drop of a hat. But in general which are you and why?

When it comes to inspiration which are you?

Courageous

This is the only one that I also have the soundtrack to.

Courageous
Courageous
The nice thing about this move is that there is more than one character to inspire you. You will see three scenes below. Know that the the character featured in the second clip is the one that inspires me the most. He is the one that is willing to give up his job because of what is right. Willing to say no I will not fudge the truth even if it cost me everything. A man of Integrity. And for me that word means a lot. It is what my first site's based on. And still the one I am most proud of.

Courageous - Three scenes from the movie

1) The first scene where a father risks everything for his child.

2) The second scene where a father presents himself as a rich man and not because of anything to do with money.

3) The third scene where men are inspired to take a stand.

Fireproof

This one was more inspired to watch with relatives that were firemen it sort of called to me. And I am glad it did. Even though they were acting you were able to see some of what firemen go through. And yes I have heard similar stories. My favorite line is by Caleb Holt: "You never leave your partner, especially in a fire." Its interesting how this lines used twice in the move. It has the same meaning but two different ways that it's applied.

You may have noticed that there is always one scene that you like best in a move. In this one it is the last scene. Granted you have to watch the whole move as it builds up to this point. And it is sort of meaningless if you don't. But it is in this scene that I am most inspired. For me the main reason that I bought this movie. That the character that was there at the beginning of the move and bits and pieces throughout comes back. And to be honest, surprised when he did so. I am trying hard not to give away the ending here. But needless to say, even if all you see is the last scene it will move you.

Time to state your opinion

I know that this is just a small video. - But what it means is great

So feel free to show it on the big screen TV and inspire those around you.
