Skyfall 007: A Surprisingly Intriguing Film

Updated on July 25, 2022

Although I am a moviegoer, action movies are not my favorite; I usually enjoy a good comedy. So I agreed with my husband to see a James Bond movie. I have to admit it wasn't at all what I expected. However, it did keep my interest. I enjoyed the exotic places the film took me to and the fast-paced action from start to finish. I've watched a few Bond movies before, but this modern-day version was undoubtedly one of the best I've ever seen.

Every scene was more intriguing than the next I watched in suspense. Daniel Craig took a bit of time to get used to since I always think of Sean Connery when I think of 007 movies. I enjoy him, especially while he is driving his old Aston Martin with all its unique gadgets. The movie's fast pace kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire film. I had only gone for the buttered popcorn but soon discovered I liked Bond. I enjoyed it, and Judy Dench has always been one of my favorite actors. Her role as Em Bonds's superior was a side of her I hadn't seen in her comedies.

Overall I would highly recommend this film to anyone who enjoys the action. Craig gives the role a refreshing charm if you aren't a Bond fan. He makes even a passive fan like myself entertained. I have to admit the popcorn and snacks were good too. I plan to watch the previous Daniel Craig movies soon; perhaps I am a Bond fan. Monitoring will be good for me over the winter months when I tend to say indoors more. I will keep my eyes open for more action-packed films and plan to keep you posted when new one are about to debut.

Entertainment At It's Best Skyfall

Here is a brief synopsis of the movie. After an operation in Istanbul ends in disaster, Bond is missing and presumed to be dead. In the aftermath, questions are presented over M's capacity to run the Secret Service, and she becomes the topic of a governance review over her handling of the crisis. The Service becomes the object of attack, provoking Bond's retrieval to London. His presence assists MI6's investigation in uncovering a lead, and Bond is dispatched o Shanghai and Macau in pursuit of a mercenary named Patrice. There, he demonstrates a connection to Raoul Silva, a former MI6 agent apprehended and tormented by Chinese agents. Blaming M for his confinement, Silva places a plan to destroy her reputation before slaying her. Bond rescues M and endeavors to tempt Silva into a trap, and while he is victorious in repulsing Silva's aggression, M is mortally injured. Bond yields to active duty under the governance of the new M, Gareth Mallory.

The Unleashing of Skyfall

Skyfall premiered in London on October 23, 2012. Then this film was unleashed to the public later in October in Great Britain, then in November 2012 in the USA audience. It was the first James Bond film to be screened in IMAX venues. The film's release coincided with the 50th anniversary of the James Bond series, which began with Dr.No. As a consequence, Skyfall is the highest-earning Bond film of all time. The film grossed $1.108 billion worldwide, which made it the seventh highest-grossing film of all time. At the time of its release (behind Avatar, Titanic, The Avengers, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, and The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King ). It is now the 28th highest-grossing film of all time. It was also the top-grossing film circulated by Columbia, topping Spider-Man 3 until Spider-Man defeated it: Far From Home in 2019.

Skyfall Cast

The 'Skyfall' cast is comprised of several performers Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, and numerous other actors. If you enjoy James Bond and want to view a film with lots of action, I am sure you will appreciate Skyfall.

Keep yourself entertained with other Bond films in your free time. I know that most people find the replays of these movies long after their releases. However, plenty of old films keep you busy for a long time.
