Synth Single Review: “Clarion’’ by Echo Wolf
Echo Wolf’s Clarion is an exhilarating synth voyage across the universe. The track begins with trembling notes vibrating out into open space as galactic brightness flashes. The undulating rhythm cuts with a keen-edged sound as the main melody glimmers like a distant sun reflecting off a planet hanging in open space.
The beat drops away as the orbiting notes paint a portrait of vast cosmic vistas, dotted with distant galaxies spinning away in eternity. The low end rumbles as the elevated notes add a glow reminiscent of far-off stars while the drums continue to propel the music.
I am overtaken by a sense of adventure as the music unfolds, the main melody full of sparkling delicacy, like a web of nebulae, as the advancing beat presses on. As the oscillating low end slices, the lead synth flashes like warp drive being activated. A feeling of exploration and ever-growing journeys permeates the music before the track draws to a close.
