Synth Single Review: “Dreamstate’’ by GMNI88

GMNI88’s Dreamstate is about waking up to life. The track starts with swelling bass rolling and flashing synth glowing. As GMNI88’s thoughtful vocals flow, the percussion hits with conviction while spinning notes glisten. When the towering low end smacks in, GMNI88’s gripping voice echoes with a gently touching melody.

The rhythm is a powerful force while the vocals slide smoothly and dense synth curtains cascade as brighter notes glimmer. As the track slides into a smoother segment, an intricate filigree sparkles with graceful ease while the background slips past.

The massive beat punches as the expression in GMNI88’s voice captures my soul. The guitar cries out with a tenderly touching, still-muscled melody while the song ends on reverberant notes.

For the narrator, life isn't ever what it seems, "drifting weightless through the endless motion." Voices echo, pulling us "like an ocean as we are lost inside our lucid dreams." He asks if we'll wake up and break free of our pasts while "chasing our futures." We can't make things last while being lost in the shadows, so "we can start again, we’re just dreamstate living."

As "phantom visions pull us through the distance" and whispers tangle in the night, "fading signals trace our own existence, meeting where the stars ignite." Our storyteller speaks of merging with the haze to "rebuild, transcend." Even as we are lost in the waves, we can "reach through, ascend."
