Synth Single Review: “Never Ending Darkness’’ by Atmospherika

Atmospherika’s Never Ending Darkness is full of aching remembrance and emptiness. The track opens as twisting notes tremble above portentous bass and a desolate voice speaks of nothingness. The drums collide with raging weight as the hollow-sounding, pipe-like notes tremble nervously above the heaving bass and the main melody slips with mournful, bereft feelings.

Angular notes slice into the music as the gigantic bass throbs and the main melody wanders, full of longing and emptiness, making my heart ache. The cover art captures the track’s feeling, but it’d be cool to see an artist’s work here.

The threatening sounds in the distance are swept by empty wind as the voiceover speaks of never-ending darkness creeping closer with no one left to remember or observe. Metallic notes with a bending sound tremble while the elevated, haunting synth roams.

Threatening drums batter as the spectral melody trails with a broken motion and steadily ringing notes above it repeat. The entire track radiates impending destruction and emptiness as the heaving low end fulminates. The main melody carries with it a sense of hopelessness before the song ends.
