Synth Single Review: “Nightstalker (2025)’’ by Electric Seagulls

Electric Seagulls’ Nightstalker (2025) is a mixture of urgency, shadow and haunting power. The track begins as a massively swelling bass pulse moves with urgent darkness. Hovering notes exude haunting luminosity as a flaring synth creates contrasting warmth. The tense melody grows in power while the rhythm is insistently heavy. Drums tap while the surging bass bubbles and a sharp, string-like sound cries out with a melody full of portentous shadow and menace. I enjoy the mixture of melancholy and danger that this track emanates.

The beat is forceful as sharp drums retort and a dazzling synth rings out like a sitar. Underneath the higher part, slowly swirling tones intermingle while the battering undercurrent presses on. Sinister notes float with deadly strength before the high synth sobs mournfully and rapidly vibrating tones add an unsettling quality.

The twanging tones embody dramatic sensations, turning up the tension as massive bass heaves below the slicing guitar.
