Synth Single Review: “Pixel Crush’’ by LukHash
LukHash’s Pixel Crush is full of cruising motion and celebration. The track begins as a swinging 8-bit melody jumps in with a funky flow while the crisp percussion rebounds. The main melody has an ultra-cool feeling, spinning out on the 8-bit sounds with entertaining life, dancing and bopping along.
The rhythm is digitally clean and cutting as the main melody jams with freewheeling energy. I enjoy the way in which the melody captures the earnestness and joy of early 8-bit computer music with the low-end grooves.
The melody jumps in again, full of joyful life, while the beat syncopates and the clean drum sounds rap through the music. There’s a feeling of playful, relaxed pleasure within the melodic pattern as it struts and jumps. Bopping along, the melody has a sense of fun and easygoing expression to it before the music ends.
