Synth Single Review: “Save My Love (Terra Version)’’ by SUNESIS
SUNESIS’ Save My Love (Terra Version) is full of vulnerability and starry fragility. The song begins as astral, drifting notes slowly float into the music before rich bass and solidly pounding drums create shape. Starlit notes flicker with a delicate touch as the low end’s heartbeat continues. Rounded, warmly revolving synth dances along with SUNESIS' vulnerable, tender vocals.
A wandering, digital sound roams through the music along with cosmic points of luminous synth. I am touched by the simple fragility of SUNESIS' voice which is so ethereal as it glides. Bass swells up around the lightly touching vocals as elevated sounds flick through the music. Distant, twinkling synth adds misty radiance as SUNESIS' heartfelt voice flows out into the openness around it.
Bass undulates as far away, sparkling notes shine and a glockenspiel adds more delicacy. The drums and bass give the music form as the vocals wander into the spacy background. Sharp-edged, swirling synth carries a melancholy melodic pattern above a digital pulse and solid low end throb. The song ends with oscillating bass and spectral notes.
Our narrator asks the song subject to save her love for them. She says that they left her alone, “away from us.” She asks "Why don't you care? You cut me rough.”
