Oceanside85 & Damokles’ Take Your Time carries a message about making fulfilling use of the time one has in this world. The song opens as razor sharp notes entangle in clean lines and a rapidly rushing kick drum comes in. Now the vocalist chants the lyrics as the sharp edge notes rebound and glowing synth joins the pounding drums and bass.

A clock ticks and Oceanside85’s passionately expressive voice leaps out over the rushing low end. Radiant notes dance with energetic motion in the distance as they wrap around the powerfully expressed vocals. I can't help but be drawn to this song by the performances of two of my favourite artists on the synth scene. The chanting part comes in again as Oceanside85 imbues her voice with intense feeling.

Shining notes complement the flying chorus as the drums and bass form a continually shaping motion. The flaring synth that Damokles weaves through the music increases the music's shining illumination and feeling of encouragement. A freewheeling synth solo dances through the music as Oceanside85 fills the lyrics with soulful life. The low end charges as a gleaming synth melody uplifts the music. Drums flourish before the song drives on to a conclusion with glistening luminosity.

The narrator says that time never stops moving forward and you always see it coming "faster than you wanted.” She goes on to say that you can never go back because time is always flowing forward. She adds that “time ticks on when you want the feeling to last all night” and the song's subject is touching her body.

Our storyteller talks about how time follows her through life and you can't get past it. It's a "fact of all existence” but now it's time for a "raw explosion, ever living” and a push towards passion as the song’s subject takes her to new heights.

The narrator says that you might find yourself in a strange time that drags you towards the future. She asks the other person not to "rush this ecstasy of time” and to teach her what they want to teach her. She goes on to say they should show her "the meaning of taking your time." She needs and wants the other person and adds "kill me, yes, love me, yes. Take your time.”

Now our storyteller says that you have to drive to get where you want to and you can't "be a passenger in your life" and you have to figure it out. She goes on to say that if the time isn't going as you want it to "you've got time to change it each day.”

The narrator says that it's time "to take your time" as it keeps ticking away endlessly. She points out that it's time to "live your life ‘til it's all over." She continues by saying that you never know when your time is up so “do it, make it and make sure you kill it! Move yourself through time!"
