Synth Single Review: “The Hill’’ by Droid Bishop
Droid Bishop’s The Hill mixes dreaming and aching emotion as it unfolds. The track starts with a sweeping synth and deeply undulating bass. Ethereal notes levitate with smoothness as the drums and bass punch with slicing weight below them. Diaphanous synth floats gracefully as the guitar cries out with a melancholy, dreaming melody and the drums and bass drive.
Radiant notes flash with encouragement while the guitar swirls through the music with expressive, freewheeling energy. Droid Bishop’s guitar playing carries me along with it, immersing me in mournful emotion and tenderness before the drifting synth slides with tranquility.
The low end locks into a steady throb as the guitar chords add grit and the synth glides with satiny feeling and shining notes in the distance rise. The drums and bass continue to pulse while the guitar unfurls with heartfelt gentleness and yearning. The ringing synth glows with soft luminosity as the dense bass pulsates as silence falls.
