Synth Single Review: “Thrill Chasers’’ by Montse Torres and Neon Shards

Montse Torres and Neon Shards’ Thrill Chasers evokes supercars tearing down the highway, locked in an exhilarating race. The track launches as a torrid synth leaps with barely contained energy before the low end tide washes with ferocity. The main melody blasts out, creating images of potent machinery ripping down the asphalt, reaching for the horizon with muscled motors snarling.

Neon Shards’ guitar growls like an engine pounding, all force and mechanical complexity, while the whirling synth cuts to the chase with irradiating dynamism. I imagine myself at the wheel of a Ferrari F40, twin turbochargers whistling as I challenge my opponent. While the artwork captures the song, I’d love to see an artist’s talents applied here.

Montse Torres conveys rushing toward the sunset with unbridled freedom and unbroken strength. A kick drum sledgehammers out of a slow rhythmic pulse before Neon Shards’ guitar shreds, channeling the feral freedom of a roaring engine and tires crying on the pavement. As golden tones fly, the guitar mingles with them, evoking sunlight glinting on a car’s beautiful curves before the track closes.
