The Smurfs History

Updated on October 13, 2017

The Smurfs - 1980's Version

The Smurfs are a group of small little creatures that are blue and wear nothing but white hats and pants. Each Smurf represents something that they are strong in. The Smurfs have been a part of our pop culture lives for decades now and they have went the way of their other 80s cartoon buddies, Alvin and the Chipmunks, and recently been blessed with having their own live movie. I'm sure that the 2011 Smurfs are a great experience for the kids and fun for them to watch, but let's not forget the ones us 80s kids have grown to know and love. Though the 2011 Smurfs do have a handful or two of different kinds, the 80s version have quadruple amount as compared to the current ones. I want to take us back down to memory lane a show some love to the original ones.
