The Monkees - Because when it comes to Music I Don't Monkey Around
First I have several of these songs on cassette. Second this album was on my Amazon Wish list for a while. And I do say was. On 10/2/2014 this album was part of the Amazon $5 Albums on Sale Now list. So on 10/4/2014 I added it to my collection. This sale is only for the month but still worth sharing.
Looking back I remember watching these guys on TV all the time. And for those of you that have read any of my other work you know its not about the story but the music that's included. So for me this was a great show to watch. It was a half hour long and had them singing at any point of the story. You could always guarantee that there would be music.
I don't remember a hearing their music on the radio though. It was always played on TV or by popping in a cassette. And yes I still have one of their albums on cassette. Now if I could just find it. I know I saw it recently. More to the point I know I listened to it recently.
Anyway a lot of the music on that cassette is also on this CD. And that is why It is on my Amazon wish list. Because I wanted it on CD. I then wanted it on my Amazon Cloud player so I could listen to it anytime. I sign onto a computer with access and permission to go onto the internet.
I have a few albums and songs that I have gotten this way. And now its now The Monkees turn to become part of my collection. With how much I have enjoyed them over the years its also time to share my thoughts and feeling. So that others can also enjoy their music and add this music to their collections.
One final thought to share on this album. That is the main reason I wold like it. The song is Shades of Gray. As I look back at the show I only remember hearing the song. Not the words. It was when I heard those words on my friends cassette that I wanted the album so many years ago. The reason I listened over and over and added the cassette to my collection and will soon be adding the album to my Cloud drive or getting the CD. I admit I am still up in the air on that one.
So even if you don't choose to add to your collection here please do think about The Monkees and the music they have shared with the world.
Thank you.
