In both stories her boyfriend is secretly cheating on her, but how the affair evolves is very different depending on which line her life follows. This ageless romantic story by Shakespear3 was put on the in 1996 by Baz Luhrmann who in a stroke of genious decided to apply the actual monologue from Shakespeares original story on a modernised visualisation. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Romeo and Juliet is portrayed by Claire Danes.
The romance between the two young ones is very believable and the restriction of sticking to the original text makes the movie feel so much more creative in terms of acting and the settings. Ghost (1990) - The most romantic movies of the 90s nr. 1
The title of the most romantic movie of the 90s goes to Ghost, because it has a little bit of everything. You will cry you will laugh and you will think. In the beginning of the movie Sam (Patrick Swayze) is killed in a street mugging leaving behind his devastated partner Molly (Demi Moore). Because Sam loved Molly so, he can stick around on earth as a ghost, which gives him the opportunity to warn her about a danger that is threatening her. Unfortunately ghosts can not be heard by normal humans so Sam sets out to find someone who can hear him.. This is where Whoopie Goldberg comes into the picture, playing psychic who tricks her clients into believing she can hear the dead. Much to her surprise she is able to hear Sam and together they set out to find his killer. Whoopies character is extremely charming and funny and adds a nice comical balance to the sadness of the main storyline.
