1. Time Is a Limited Substance

Everything in the world can be replenished but not time.

Time is the most important thing in the world.

If you lose the money you can regain it. If you have lost fortunes you can regain them but once you lose time, you can never get it back. It's like a river- you can touch its water only once in a lifetime.

So be very wise about how you spend your time.

Don't spend time in useless, and nonproductive activities but use the time to accomplish something great in your life.

So that at the end of your life, you will be satisfied and fulfilled that you have used your time wisely.

2. Do Everything You Can to Change

There is only one thing constant in life and that is change.

We need to love change. There is nothing that remains constant in life. Everyone and everything is changing all the time.

The quicker we develop a mindset that embraces change, the better it would be for us.

If we are not open to change, then we will remain wherever we are in life.

If you want to change then you will need to come out of your comfort zone.

It's very easy to stay in your comfort zones and it's very convenient too. But the comfort zone will never allow you to progress in life.

So it is imperative to do everything in your power to bring about change in your life.

3. Be Grateful and Give up Complaining

We, humans, are prone to complaining about every small thing.

Instead of complaining, if we start being grateful for what we have, it will make a world of difference in our lives.

An attitude of gratitude is what the world needs. If we are grateful for what we have, then we will get more.

But if we keep on complaining, we will lose even what we have.

Being content is one of the greatest secrets of a happy and fulfilled life.

Make a decision to be thankful for all that you have. It will make a big difference in your life.

4. Look for New Opportunities Instead of Crying Over Missed Ones

There is no point in crying over spilled milk. We all have missed a lot of opportunities in our lives.

But if we keep on cribbing over these opportunities then we are not taking advantage of the opportunities that are there in the present.

The past is gone, and the future is yet to come so learn to live in the present.

The present is what should be of importance to us because what we do in the present will help our future.

Many successful people have gone through a lot of failures in their lives but they succeeded because they never gave up.

One secret of success is not lamenting our lost opportunities, but capitalizing on the ones that are available now.

5. Never Lose Your Enthusiasm

If there is one thing that we should never lose it's our enthusiasm, zeal, and zest for life.

Enthusiasm gives us the strength and energy to go on in life no matter what.

Always be enthusiastic in spite of the circumstances and it will take you to wonderful heights.

Successful people are enthusiastic people.

Enthusiasm is also important because it is very infectious. Our enthusiasm will rub off on someone else so and so forth. So keep being full of life and zeal.

6. Discover Your Life Purpose

It is very important to discover your life purpose.

Life purpose is something that you live for and that you are willing to die for.

Most people plod through life without any goal or purpose.

Discovering your life purpose brings meaning to your life. The people who don't have any purpose in their life go about aimlessly, without any direction.

When you discover your life purpose, you will get the right direction in which to proceed. It will keep you from wandering around aimlessly.

Having a life purpose removes all distractions and non-productive activities away from your life.

The best way to discover your life's purpose is to find out what you are most passionate about. Find out what gives you the most happiness and fulfillment.

Spend some time and find out what you want to do out of your life. And once you find it, then focus on that one thing.

7. Choose Passion Over Money

No matter what you decide to do in life, make sure that you put passion over money. Money and wealth are no doubt very important in this life but passion is what will give you happiness.

Do those things that you love to do and the money will follow. Don't run after money alone because there are many people who are filthy rich and unfulfilled.

A very wealthy person was once asked how much wealth is enough for him and his reply was, "Just a little bit more."

Wealth is something that never satisfies. That is a fact of life.

People believe that once they become wealthy, they will be happy.

But, when you have something in abundance, the law of diminishing returns kicks in. If you have a lot of wealth, in time, it will lose its attraction because of the law of diminishing returns.

So do those things that you are passionate about and you will never regret it.

8. Don’t Take The Short Route

It is very easy and tempting to take a short route in life. But we would be wise to avoid the shorter route and take the longer one instead.

The long road may take more time and effort but that's where we will find self-satisfaction, success, and fulfillment.

If there is a choice between a longer route and a shorter route, always take the longer one.

You will learn a lot of things on the journey which will stay with you for life and enhance your life.

9. Never Neglect Your Health

If wealth is lost nothing is lost. If health is lost something is lost, but if character is lost, everything is lost.

It's very important to take care of our physical health while we go about the business of life.

Never neglect your health because if the body is fit, then the mind is fit and we can work to our full potential. If the body is weak then we don't work as effectively as we could.

It's important to exercise, sleep properly and take the right food in the right amount. Optimum health will enhance the quality of your life and your productivity.

10. Beware of Murphy’s Law - Whatever Can Go Wrong Will Go Wrong

Expect the unexpected to happen because very often it does.

There are times when life is unpredictable. Murphy's law mentions that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

Be aware that Murphy's law can kick in at any time in life so don't be taken by surprise. If the unexpected happens then learn to face it and respond positively.

If we possess these 10 qualities in our lives, then life will be much more easy, happy, and more fulfilling.
