10 Things To Do with Kids Under The Age of 10

Updated on August 23, 2013

Children Under The Age Of Ten

I am the mother of three young children. It amazes me how much they grow and change every day. I have made a list of ten things I would like to do with them before they turn the age of ten.

The infant and toddler years have been a little rough but I'm really scared of the preteen years. I want for us to make amazing childhood memories.

I want them to be able to reflect on their care free days of being children.

1. Dance In The Rain

This may not seem list worthy to some but we live in west Texas. It doesn't rain much here it's a pretty big deal when it does. I want to take the kids outside and splash in the puddles and feel the rain drops on our face.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass it's learning to dance in the rain”

2. Go to the Beach

I remember the first time I saw the beach. I was 12 years old traveling with my mother and brother through Mexico. I was awe struck. I want to witness that experience in my children.

5. Adopt a pet

My husband and I struggled to have children so we filled our house with pets. They were family to us, our first children. We gave them away when our daughters were in the hospital. We kept our Rottweiler whom died last year. I want my children to experience the nonjudgmental unselfish love that a pet can give.
