This is a weekly podcast hosted by Will Moneymaker on Ancestral Findings. With almost 200 episodes in the catalog, you can find topics such as “What Stories Are Your Ancestors’ Headstones Telling You?” (episode 179) and “The Cousin Connection: Explaining the Various Levels of Cousins” (episode 49). Hosted by genealogist Marian Pierre-Louis at thegenealogyprofessional.com. These 30-60 minute podcasts are geared for professional genealogists and transitioning genealogists. If you have a goal of becoming a professional in the genealogy field, this podcast is for you.

4 - Extreme Genes

Former morning radio host, Scott Fisher hosts this weekly genealogy podcast on extremegenes.com. His career in broadcasting and his love of genealogy are combined in these 50 minute episodes. Every week he brings you news and topics from the genealogy world along with tech segments from David Allen Lambert of the New England Historic Genealogical Society. 5 - The Genealogy Guys Podcast

Possibly the longest running genealogy podcast, George G. Morgan and Drew Smith have been hosting episodes every week since 2005. Each hour long podcast brings you genealogy news, tips, books and everything that matters to a genealogy researcher. George and Drew also brings you information about various genealogy conferences. 6 - Genealogy Happy Hour

This bi-monthly podcast runs 30 minutes an episode and is hosted by Amy Crabill Lay and Penny Burke Bonawitz at http://www.soundcloud.com/genealogy-happy-hour. This informative podcast is geared for beginning genealogists who are learning the trade. Topics include “Newspaper Research” (episode 26), “Writing Your Genealogical Research” (episode 19) and “Locating and Using Military Pension Records” (episode 10).

7 - Family Tree Magazine Podcast

Lisa Louise Cooke, (yes, the host of Genealogy Gems) hosts this podcast from Family Tree Magazine. This monthly podcast can be found at https://www.familytreemagazine.com/podcasts/ and features content from that month’s issue of Family Tree Magazine. The episodes are very informative but it may entice you to get yourself a magazine subscription which may not be a bad thing.
