A wonderful life

What a wonderful life, that was the title to a very good Christmas movie with Jimmy Stewart.

We all sometimes forget what it was that was so dam important to us at one time that we lost sight of our life. I'm reminded daily how lucky we all are. I have more stuff than I'll ever need but it's my stuff and it makes me happy. What makes me happy is giving a gift to someone who has nothing, not everyone has been gifted with toys that I have.

Now lets just examine how we got to this point, if you have read any of my blogs you would know almost all about me. The story is based at Christmas time, a time when everyone seems to feel pretty good and charitable so they give a little. Christmas is just a date on a calender to remind us to be nice. Without getting all the religious right upset Christmas is a far better day than you could imagine.

To surmise the story sometimes I find myself on that bridge getting ready to jump, but thanks to a loving family and lots of folks that care the thought of no more is not in the cards for me. Now you take Ward Bond the cop who finds Jimmy on the bridge is a life long friend however in the story no one seems to know Jimmy. What Jimmy is going through is the lost of his own sole. That happens when we feel sorry for ourselves about different things that happen to us. It can be as dumb as loosing a girlfriend or dog, or the possible lost of a love one,

Lets just imagine that your in a bar with all your friends and you run out of money after you ordered a beer. "What do you mean I don't have any credit here, you know me we went to school together, Clarence you know me too, what's happening here all of you know me." That's the feeling I get sometime when the pain is all mine no one else can do this for me,but I have been lucky enough to come out of it every time though.

The story ends pretty good with Jimmy and all of his friends around him,you can see the joy and down right happiness on his face when he holds his little girl in his arms. The thought of loosing his mind and all his family and friends had him going crazy enough to jump off the bridge. Most of us are fortunate enough that we have some one who cares.  When this movie rears its ugly head there is someone to take us in their arms and we never see the water.

The next time someone looks at you with that panic in his body maybe he's a friend or even complete stranger, it makes no difference who he or she is just bother to ask why. Make a friend save a life and watch the light go into their eyes and listen out for the bell.

I have on many occasions seen these people, lost to life. I have made it my job to try and save as many people as possible. Its not hard just a kind word or even a hug a lot of times will work. You may never know what you have done for someone else, but they will. The next time you feel the urge to jump please call me, we have all been there one time or another my friend,,.
