Don't Take What Most People Take for Granted: Enjoy the Little Things!
Life is short. Most of us have accepted this, yet still seem to get caught up on little things that don't truly matter rather than spending quality time with people you love doing things that you love. Understandably, there are of course things that are important and need our attention. But try to keep those at a minimum and possibly rearrange the priorities in your life. By doing so, you'll feel happier, more content, and really love everything that you do.
Family Time
Family: Some of us classify only the people that are blood-related to us as family. That is perfectly okay. Family is whoever you want it to be! For others, there's close friends that are included as well.. and that's perfectly okay as well. No matter who you consider YOUR family, enjoy time with them. Spend free moments with them and relish in the happiness that no other group of people can bring.
If you're having trouble about what to do, try these special, yet simple family activities together.
There is literally an ENDLESS bound to what you can do with your family.
Don't WASTE time! If you have children that are in middle school and high school, before you know it they will be off to college while mom and dad are no longer by their side. I know from currently being a teenager that hanging out with the "ma & pa" isn't always the most desired thing in the world, but they WILL miss you. For the most part, do simple things around your house and neighborhood, but don't be afraid to splurge once in a while and take your family out somewhere nice! The kids will love it! So take action and go have some fun!!
Children:
Enjoy this time with the family. Before you realize it, you will be off with a family of your own and you won't physically be able to spend all the time in the world with your parents and siblings. Take advantage of what you have because there is nothing greater than the love, bond, and time sharing that comes with a family. Especially now that just about everybody is on their summer vacation, spend some time with your friends, but then turn to your parents and say "Let's go do something!" They will really appreciate and love it, and with a positive attitude, you will truly enjoy yourself.
Whether its family game night, cleaning the house on a weekend day, going to an amusement park, or enjoying a movie marathon on a rainy day... DO SOMETHING!! ANYTHING! It will really build the family and the bonds that you share!
