Funny Words From My Toddler
My daughter is just turning two and is starting to say the funniest things! I hope I will remember these in years to come!
Recently she was tugging at the back of my shirt and when I asked her why she was doing this, she said in the sweetest voice "Got a tail?" She was just checking, of course!
Then, after spending two days at Childcare while I was working, we were out shopping. As I was paying for my groceries she said to the cashier "My mommy is at work!"... I had to explain that I was at work yesterday, and the day before, but today I was with her and we were shopping...
And recently she caught a cold. I told her that I was taking her to the Doctor to fix her cold. She asked if we would see Bob The Bulider? Not realising at the time this is because the theme song from from the cartoon she watches called Bob The Builder goes "Can we fix it? Yes we can!".
I've also caught her out in our back yard, holding a feather she found to the sky saying "Don't worry birdy, I found your feather! Come and get it!". And when it comes to feeding the seagulls her left over fries at the beach, she's also held out her arms towards them with her bottle of juice in her hands asking them if they'd like a drink too!
Driving past the golden arches one day she also asked if she could have some fries from McDonald duck! I'm endlessly amused by the funny things she comes out with! Even at the beach recently she told me she thought the lady sunbathing near us had a "Pretty, pretty nappy", meaning she liked her the bikini she was wearing... How cute!
She's also recently caused me some embarrassement though. I was looking for a dress for a special occassion in a quite fancy botique when she started shouting with excitement "Look Mummy! Scarecrows! Scarecrows!" at the mannequins!
In spite of the odd embarrasing occasion, love my childs view of the world and how she is seeing the world around her and beginning to talk about it. It also gives me lots of amusement. Today she come running to me after eating her christmas sweet saying "Mummy! Mummy! I ate Santa!"...
