Helping the Poor
If I am able to inspire one individual to give of their time and talents to one homeless family or one lonely senior then this will be my satisfaction for writing this hub. Please join me in a brief circle of prayer to benefit those who are in need on our planet.
It is winter now here in California but the Elves keep on giving even after the Christmas season. Do you have any materials, canned food, or handyman abilities to share? You could help a senior improve their home.
I once worked for a senior who couldn't access his home since being confined to use a wheelchair. He needed a handyman to construct a ramp to enter and exit the house. I remember we had to call for emergency assistance to be able to take him to the hospital one day. Well, he passed away there in the hospital and never was able to return home again. He was an American Military Veteran and felt quite helpless though he had a brave spirit and faced his own slow death daily for months alone at home. It was a warm feeling to be able to give him some joy even in his last days at home as a care giver.

Wrap a gift for someone you don't know. Give a surprise of flowers to someone in a nursing home. Remember to reach out and invite that lonely single who finds themselves alone this year.
Are you talented at reading or crochet? Do you bake pies or make cards? Is There some time you could spare later this week to your local homeless shelter? Could you donate some food to the food bank in your town?
You could search for a family in your community who needs some extra help this winter. Decorate a plate of cupcakes and take them to work. Buy and wrap a new stuffed animal for a senior in a nursing home. Play the piano and sing songs for a small group.
We all need a little help sometimes. Elves are really busy this week. They have thousands of gifts to make and even more goodies to bake. Let's all get together and cheer for the elves who work so hard to bring joy and song to all their favorite children, friends, seniors and teens. The elves are working both day and night. Even when it isn't Christmas anymore the Elves still keep busy.
Thanks to all of my hub followers who have left me positive comments. I appreciate all of you. This time of year we can all take some time to brighten someone's new day with words of love and encouragement. Please remember to offer some help to that senior next door. Also, whenever you see someone who is lonely just saying hello can bring a smile. Serve hot meals to seniors or the homeless at shelters.
You and I can bring hope to our Military families. Let' say a prayer of thanksgiving for all their dedication to protect our nation. Donate to families who have lost jobs for support. Offer a cup of coffee or some fresh baked cookies to the homeless family too. Elves are ready to share some time this week. Let's all join as one team. Surprise someone today!
All over the world there are people living in poverty. We can find them if we search. Ask questions and look for ways to serve and grant the wishes of those in need. Most of us don't have to worry about finding enough fresh water here in America. Can you donate to a project providing water and food to save lives in Africa?
I am saving my change in a piggy bank to donate to a food bank in town. Please take a moment to commit to a good deed to unite us all in love. When we give without expecting anything back joy fills our hearts.
Be a helpful Elf!
By the way, a big THANK YOU to all of the Professionals who offer free medical and dental services!
