Jessie Mae (Wilson) Connor

Updated on January 23, 2010

Summer of 2000, John making his mom (Jessie Mae) into a Spelunker (Mammouth Caves, Kentucky)

Jessie Mae (Wilson) Connor

Jessie Mae (Wilson) Connor was born August 22nd, 1919 and passed on September 9th, 2009. She was 90 years young.

To the one who gave such beautiful life
what may I possibly offer in return
to this luminous Morning star
to the one sent from above?

Thank you for your self-sacrifice
and most of all your endless (Agapé) love
thank you for this most ancient wisdom and oh such vivacity
thank you for being our guide, my guiding-luminosity.

My love for you is endless
I love you most infinitely
you are more than a mother; you are much, much more...
and indeed the most luminous of all lights.

In some insignificant manner I can only hope
I am seen as an (imperfect) reflection of yours,
every beautiful quality you possess,
I can only hope to emulate.

Not often enough did I ever tell you
how much you have influenced me.
Not often enough did I show you
how your selflessness provided example for me and so many.

You have shown me the way
that is, to live eternally
and most of all, this is my gift for you
It is indeed what I offer in prayer for you.
A life ever-lasting for one so saintly, wise and true

Are you an angel sent by God?
Whom so many have found Hope in
To the one who gave me life, a most beautiful life
I hope to reflect your Faith, Hope and
The Greatest of all, (Agapé) love.

God, I pray that I can be as luminous as you.

Thanks Peachpurple! indeed I do "feel" her presence sometimes and to me, it is quite interesting that it has manifested through our animals on occasion...

      Dear Mom,

You are truly missed; however, you are definitely and most positively in our thoughts; thus, you continue in our hearts.

      God Bless,

Thanks to all who attended, sent cards, flowers, donations etc. I and I believe my brother and sister were overwhelmed by all of the support and honour demonstrated by our friends, our mother's friends and relatives. All of the flower arrangements were so beautiful. I am sure my mother appreciated the beautiful flowers and thoughts that flowed throughout the celebration and service.

God, I am thankful for my mother's life and friends...
