One fantastic mother's group in the Austin area is MOPS. MOPS stands for "Mothers of Preschoolers" and is essentially a support group for moms of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. There are currently at least 15 MOPS groups in Austin the surrounding areas.
To find the one closest to you, visit the website here and click on the box to search for a local group. MOPS groups usually meet at least twice a month and sometimes have Mom's Night Out events. It's a great place to find friendship, get advice and much more.
It is a Christian based program, however anyone can definitely join. You will hear guest speakers talk about issues such as coping with stress, learn fun crafts and just have a chance to socialize.
