5 Cute Night Lights for Kids
I always had a night light as a child; I could not have slept without one. I wasn't afraid of the dark itself, but I just couldn't go to sleep without knowing I could wake up and see around me at all times. Some parents try to wean their kids off using night lights and I think this is a pretty stupid thing to do. If your kid wants to use one, let them. Hell, I'm in my 30s and I sometimes still sleep with a light on in the hall. I just like to be able to see what's going on if I need to wake up and if my parents had tried to break me of that, I would have had a lot of trouble sleeping. And what purpose would that really have served? Let me help you -- none. So let your kid keep their night light as long as they want, alreet?
Hello Kitty Night Light
This night light has an on/off switch (so your child can turn it off in the morning without having to unplug it) and casts a nice soft glow -- important for those kids who get scared by big bad shadows! With this night light there shouldn't be any! Adorable little light!
Cloud b Twilight Turtle
This Twilight Turtle isn't just a nightlight, it actually projects a starry backdrop on your child's bedroom walls and ceiling. And who wouldn't want to go to sleep in fairy land? You can select blue, amber or green and the nightlight comes with a timer that will shut the light off after 45 minutes when your child is sound asleep.
Cloud b Lady Bug
The Cloud b Lady Bug nightlight is just like the Twilight Turtle -- it projects a starry background on the walls of your child's bedroom. A starry background which, by the way, actually does show the constellations accurately! You can choose several colors depending on what soothes your child most. The Lady Bug herself even comes with an adoption certificate!
Soothe and Glow Seahorse
Ocean Wonder's Soothe and Glow Seahorse comes in pink or blue. It's a snuggle toy which comes with eight lullabies, as well as ocean sounds. There's a volume control and this little gem is meant for ages newborn to 36 mos -- when your baby cuddles with her, she'll automatically light up and play 5 minutes worth of lullabies and other soothing sounds.
Mobi Tyke Light Jr.
You can see the blue version of the Mobi Tyke Light here, but it also comes in green and pink. It also comes with 3 AAA batteries -- which will keep the night light going for one hundred hours! A timer is included, which will auto shut the Mobi light off after fifteen minutes. This is a very popular nite light for kids and it is very portable.
