My Brother

About a year ago my brother was really really bad into drugs and distanced himself completely from us his family, which hurt my mom deeply! After him being clean for a year and half, and walking with god, he got involved with a female that he shouldn't have and got his heart broken and he made the choice to let that be his excuse to go back to his old ways. We were always concerned about him because we had a scare about maybe seven years ago when he had to get a major heart valve replaced with an artificial valve! Besides him still being alive all this time since he was about sixteen years old God still gave him a chance after his surgery being a success (now he is 45 years old) he still went out and filled his body with all those no no's. So finally all that bad stuff he put into his body from beer, smoking, and drugs his artificial valve got badly infected and started shooting out bacteria in the inside of his body hitting main organs, which landed him in the hospital in May of this year 2012! So one might say why not just let him die if he doesn't care why should anyone else? Well underneath all the stubborness, selfishness, and stupitidy my brother once was a wonderful person and despite all of his bad choices he has made big ones that counted for the good like saving a few friends lives, having compassion for others especially the alderly and children, and some other great qualities......

Well when he got admitted into the hospital the doctor's said he probablly would only have a few months to live and a lot of other negative possibilites, basically no hope!

This didn't discourage my mom and a lot of others in my family at all from keeping their faith in the Lord; they just prayed harder and more! To make a long story short since May my brother has had a bad bacteria infection was cured by strong antibiotics, a blood clot that was removed through surgery in his head, a kidney infection gone that he attained from taking all the medications, he has had seizures, he is left handed and he was paralyzed from a stroke he had on his whole left side and couldn't talk but now he can speak not good but he talks he hasn't got his feeling back in his left arm but he did in his leg so he can walk with a cain and now he is at home with us where is with my mom everyday and her and I take care of him and we are so grateful to God well I am that my mom can finally enjoy her baby her son this way rather than the way he was before God decides to take him home! The doctor's are amazed he is doing as good as he is and that he is still alive and only the Lord knows how long he has with us but, I think God is just blessing one of his daughter's (my mom) with having some last peacful memories with her son because she believes in God and never stopped putting her faith and hope in her father up above, and answered her prayers!

Thank for sharing your heart felt story about your brother and his struggles and triumph's. With God, anything is possible and your story really illustrates that.
