Spending Time With Grandparents by Debbie Lacy

Updated on January 23, 2012

Kids are growing up so fast these days especially with the lack of guidance and direction. That's why it's so important to have good role models who are actively involved in guiding these kids in the right way.

Next to Mom and Dad, Grandparents or (Grandparent) can help in being a positive force in the life of a child. They are usually more patient, they make great storytellers and can teach a child many things they do not know due to their life experiences. They tend to have a great outlook in all sorts of different situations and problems a child may be having and can help a child solve their problems through actively listening and talking with them on a level that they can understand.

Grandparents can serve in so many aspects of our lives that they are really invaluable.

They can act as our *mentor * storyteller *role model *historian but whatever capacity they serve, let's be sure that we keep our Grandparents or Grandparent in our lives as long as we can because they really do bring us so much joy; and the love they provide is priceless!

I lost my grandparents when I was around sixteen. They were wonderful to me. This article explains how precious grandparents are and to have them in our lives. Great write and thanks for sharing. :)
