Educational Games For Children

This is a list of the 3 best educational sites for children. I put this together because my son entered Kindergarten this year. He had no previous schooling such as pre-school. And, he was struggling to catch up with his peers. I worked with him at home as much as I could but after being at school all day, he really wasn't paying me much attention. I felt like I just couldn't get through to him. So, I did some research online and found numerous sites that actually make learning fun! Now when he comes home we do some work together, but most of his after school learning is spent playing games online that teach him. He loves it! I have seen a huge improvement in his grades and now I would like to share some of my favorite free educational sites for children with you.

ABCYA

This is hands down my favorite free educational site for children. My son's teacher actually recommended this one to me. They have games and activities for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. The games cover areas such as math, reading, letters, shapes, patterns, and basic computer skills. All of the games are grouped by grade, so you'll know which ones your child will benefit the most from. To visit this site click here.

Cookie

Cookie has games and activities for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. The site covers areas such as math, language, puzzles, science, and just plain old fun games. All activities are grouped by age so you know which ones are prefect for your little learner. They also have a story section, arts and crafts, and much more. To visit this site click here.

Turtle Diary

Turtle Diary has games for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. All activities are based on the grade your child is in. They offer math games, English games, science games, puzzles, arts and crafts, and much more. To visit this site click here.

I hope you enjoyed my list of the best free educational sites for children and most of all I hope that you find them useful like I did.

Isn't ABCYA awesome? My son just thinks he's playing games, having a good old time, but he's actually learning.

I cyber school both of my children and their teachers use ABCYA a lot, in addition to the school's two supplemental educational programs: Reading Eggs and Education City. I'm amazed at how much my kids learn when they think they are just having fun!
