The Grey Squirrel song for kids

Updated on February 11, 2013

My son came back from school one day singing this song and doing a lot of dancing to it, I laughed my head off for hours and got him to do it all day. Even now, two years later I get him to do it just for a laugh.

The Song

"Grey squirrel, grey squirrel shake your bushy tail" (do a 180 degree jump, stick your backside out and give it a good shake).

"Grey squirrel, grey squirrel shake your bushy tail" (do a 180 degree jump, stick your backside out and give it another good shake).

"Stick your nuts between your toes" (bend over and pretend to stick nuts between your toes).

"wrinkle up your little nose" (point at your nose and give it a wiggle).

"Grey squirrel, grey squirrel shake your bushy tail" (do a 180 degree jump, stick your backside out and shake it like mad).

"Grey squirrel, grey squirrel shake your bushy tail" (do a 180 degree jump, stick your backside out and give it one final shake).

Ok it might not be that long but I guarantee if you get your son or daughter to do it you will be laughing too.

Hey Anthony, this is great and I will be sending this to my daughter in Preston. Hope she gets her 3 year old son to do this.

Anthony, it's funny you should post this song. I have been trying to remember it from when my son used to sing it as a cub scout. Do you know what the tune is? Thanks for this reminder and answer to my prayer! Voted way up!

      Thanks Sophie.

I really hope myou enjoy it, I know I did.

If I get a chance I will post a vidoe of him doing it but now that he is getting big he is becoming "too cool" for it.
