This family of mine (Poem)
The very second marked in time
I saw his ever so tiny face
There was absolutely no doubt
It was by God’s holy grace
My lovely wife, ever so happy
All was going to be so fine
That God had generously granted
This precious little family of mine
Three years or so later
God’s grace again found way
Another handsome son was given
So precious there he lay
My wife proudly held him up
Both glowing in a ray of shine
God had granted yet another one
To this growing little family of mine
Then came my beautiful daughter
A few more years down the road
My beautiful wife so proudly held her up
They both so brightly ever glowed
I sat there in sheer wonderment
Could this life be more fine?
Thinking how God had granted me
This wonderful little family of mine
Ever so happy though we were
God’s grace was not yet through
This time God granted us not one
Wow! This time he gave us two!
A precious boy and girl to take home
Both oh so ever sweet, ever so devine
God had so generously granted me
This amazing little family of mine
A dozen years have come and gone
And I remember the past to when
My oldest boys were ever so little
Now they have become grown men
My darling little middle child
Certainly no longer a baby
Has blossomed and quickly flourished
Into one beautiful little lady
As parents we still cling dearly
On to our youngest little two
So quickly they do grow right up
Right there in front of you
No way could I create this life
Any better of my own design
Only God could have given me
This family of mine...
